Prof. (Dr.) Pankaj Arora is the Registrar at Lords University, Alwar. He has been serving in the field of Pharmaceutical Sciences for the last 16 years. He completed his graduation and post-graduation in Pharmacy. He has also completed his doctorate in Pharmaceutical Sciences. He is serving as a lifetime fellow of the Society of Biological Chemists of India (SBCI) and Institution of Chemists. He is also working as an Editorial Board Member of various journals of national repute. He has been awarded the Best teacher award, Best oral presentation award, and many more.

What are your roles and responsibilities to the University and the students?

“An essential duty to maintain the smooth running of administrations and academic regulations”

Being the Registrar, I am acting as the Member-Secretary to the Board of Management and the Academic Council. I play a critical role in the establishment and maintenance of operations for the consistent administration of policies in the university. Towards students, I am liable to interpret and enforce academic regulations of the University ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and security of all academic records of students.

What challenges have you faced during your tenure at Lords University?

“Helping students enhance their English speaking and overall communication skills”

A mix of students from Hindi and English backgrounds are being enrolled in the University and our University offers all courses in English medium only. To enhance the language proficiency of the students, English Communication classes are being conducted. In addition to their course of study, classes for Technical training, Behavioural Science, and Personality Development are being conducted in the University. 

What are some of the biggest challenges you see for higher education?

“The burden of administrative functions has increased and the core focus on academics and research is diluted”

India's Higher Education sector has witnessed a tremendous increase in the number of Universities/University level Institutions. As a result, Ensuring quality in higher education is amongst the foremost challenges being faced in India. A large number of colleges and universities in India are unable to meet the minimum requirements laid down by the UGC. One of the biggest challenges which we have to overcome specific to Lord’s University is to create a research-oriented environment and to motivate the faculties and students to give more emphasis to it. 

What is the future scope for students passing out from Lords University?

“In addition to their course of study, all students of the University are being trained in line-of-demand of the current scenario”

University is lodging full efforts for student’s success. In the future, students passing out from this university would be well settled in the area of their specialization. This will uplift the image of this University as well as of society.

It is widely accepted that the learning process is instrumental in shaping one’s personality and the way he/she deals with situations of life. What goals do you have for the next 5 years with regards to your University?

“ Efforts to focus on the research activities in the University along with new medical courses”

As our University has been established in the year 2018, so it is in a growing phase. Various courses have been rolled out and many more are being planned for the coming years. The institution is running a 300-bed capacity hospital, and we are planning to start various Medical, Dental, Nursing, and Paramedical courses shortly. University is also planning to develop a centralized University Research & Development Centre,

What suggestions would you like to give to the current aspiring youth?

“Youth should maintain a proper balance among their social, mental, physical and spiritual lifestyle”

The impact of digital technologies is prevalent in every spectrum of our lives. Digitalization can be seen as a tool of transformation that extends beyond the lifestyle of aspiring youth. Therefore it is important to understand the extent of ushering of digital technology and make the balance between this transformation and our lifestyle.
