What are your roles and responsibilities towards the students?

“To impart updated learnings and lessons to her students”

The major role and responsibility of a lecture are to impart learning to its students. I have been devoted to the education industry for over a decade now. Owing to the pandemic, the mode of teaching might have changed but my inner zeal to make students gain the necessary skills have increased over time. Our College offers semester-wise learning to the students. There are a total of 6 semesters for the students. The first year includes overall subjects for all the students. We provide great learning to the students. We focus on subjects like java, advanced java, data structure, etc. for the students.

How do you tend to establish healthy relations with the students and fellow faculty?

“Providing students and faculty with interactive doubt clearing sessions”

The faculty members maintain healthy relations with each other and also with the students. The ultimate aim is to foster the growth and development of the students and institute. We follow a strategic approach to develop relations with the students. We keep personal interaction with the students. We are always available in case a student is in an emergency. In case a student is unable to take any of the internal exams, we do assist them. We provide another chance so that they can improve their performance.

How do you make the Course Curriculum industry-oriented?

“All the faculties look after the final year's project of our students”

Practical experience is the most important to help the students gain the practical skills needed to give solutions to real-life problems. During the final year, after the second year completion, students are sent for industry training, for example in salt lake. We do offer them internships in different software companies. I take up projects on web development. I look after the overall projects. After passing out, the students would be able to perform. We also teach them how to make a resume that is of industry standard. We guide them for interviews, group discussions, etc. so that they excel in the placement rounds.

What are the best practices offered by the department to the students which help them gain necessary skills?

“Department provides students with constant support and care for handling the hurdles of Life”

My department offers constant support and care to the students which helps them cross hurdles of life. We assist in developing and upgrading the skills of the students. We offer software-based learning, industry exposure, group discussions, interview training, etc. to groom the students with the necessary skills and learning.

What are your views upon the placements and higher education about the students from your department?

“Provide Students with standard education to meet the demands of the industries”

The ultimate aim of education is to enable a student to get a good job so that he/she can sustain the family. I believe that if a student has completed course study and is getting a good job, then he/she must go for it and catch the ropes of corporate life and work. Having gained work experience, he/she may choose what is good for the career. They may opt for a higher degree to upgrade themselves and contribute effectively to the organization and society at large.

How do you help your student to cope up with the competition?

“Encourage students to join the skill-enhancing Programs”

Our curriculum is really difficult and at the same, we also help our students to withstand the competition prevailing in the outside world. We do emphasize courses which are very much relevant in the market in the current situation. Courses like python, java, are very much focused upon by our faculties for the students. We also emphasize Artificial Intelligence which is the need of the hour. We connect different courses and make students ready for the corporate market. Recently students had taken exams for several companies and our teaching turned out to be fruitful. We guide students to skill themselves in areas of quantitative aptitude, reasoning, and English. These skills are needed to clear exams for companies who visit campus for jobs.

What are the challenges you faced to uplift the quality of education of your department?

“Main challenges were faced by me during Pandemic times in providing laboratory facilities”

There are challenges in every field. Owing to the pandemic, I did face issues concerning the teaching styles. Often students faced issues owing to the networks. I faced some challenges in terms of the laboratory facilities provided to me to teach the students. We did place requirements for advanced machines for the better learning of our students. Also, it is very much important for people to learn how to communicate with the management. This is the basis of the corporate work culture. If we work on a framework, and if the machine is of old technology, it may suffer a bug or hang in the middle of the process. Challenges are the stepping stones to a successful career for the students as well as the faculty members.

What valuable advice would you like to the students for them to have a prosperous career ahead?

“Students should keep their basic concepts crystal clear”

Whatever subject a student wishes to learn or has planned to learn, he/she must dedicate full attention to that area of study. Students must know about the basic concepts and these must be clear in mind. At times, students do advanced things but they forget the basic concepts like basic coding using Java, C++, etc. Being practical is much more important than theoretical knowledge. A combination is always great. Companies focus on the knowledge and work performance of the students who become employees after training is over. Students must also learn to adapt themselves and evolve with time. The skills in them need to be upgraded to suit the work environment at every point in time. Ultimately, the students must learn how to be good people in life so that they can contribute to the growth and development of the society and nation at large.
