How do you strategize about the key programs and plans for the administration of your department?

“Expanding the interest areas of the students in learning and education”

Schedule the classes timely to cover the entire curriculum. Plan workshops for the students as per their interest area. Plan classes in such a way that they are linked with other classes too which maintain the interest of study in the students. 

What are the key factors that keep you connected with the field of Design?

“Practical learning with research analysis method and activity-based knowledge”

Research material, networking with Architects and interior designers who are working in different projects across the nation, understanding the latest decor trends. 

What do you think your roles and responsibilities to the University and the students are?

“Upgrading the design academic for the foremost learning of designing”

To provide the latest knowledge regarding current trends to the students. Providing them practical knowledge on the running projects. Update about future industry of interior designing. To finish the designed curriculum within stipulated time frame.

How do you ensure that the students get proper amount of practical learning along with theoretical knowledge?

“Exposure to the industrial sites for practical knowledge and organizing seminars for the same”

According to curriculum, as soon the module completes we strategize that the outcome should be majorly based on practical knowledge rather than theoretical knowledge. We also provide opportunities to the students to share their presentations on the theoretical learning which can boost their morale

  • By planning the timely market surveys for material exploration. 
  • Providing projects like model making to improve the understanding of material handling.
  •  Taking time to time assessments and surveys and share feedback on them to understand their learning. 
  • Arranging multiple site visits to grab practical knowledge. 

What are the major challenges that you faced while working for Interior Design department of Neewara Academy?

“Lack of diverse options for selection in the provided courses”

Although from College's end we get full support on time to time basis but though today's students are very diverse in nature who wants to explore multiple things at a same time which sometimes become challenge for us to bring them on same page which help them to focus on their current curriculum.

What do you think should be the University’s top priority over the next 5 years?

“To inherit every trend of designing in institute across the Globe”

We prepare our students for market ready. Apart from syllabus we also work on their practical knowledge by providing them latest projects and seminars. We help them in designing their own portfolio by providing them opportunities to work on small projects. We provide them access to the exhibitions in the cities which are directly relevant to their course content where they can grab maximum practical knowledge. 

What kind of Projects/Internships does your department provides for the students?

“As required for their course opted in the institution for work experience and development”

 We provide the Internships as per the specialization or interest of the students. We also analyze during academic session regarding the strengths and interest of the students and accordingly we work on them.
