What is your philosophy of leadership? How would you describe your leadership style?

“Collaborative participant in decision making with a say at every step”

I do not consider myself as a leader and neither should you know any registrar of the university should consider me as a leader. The registrar is an administrative facilitator of the university. So, all the academic programs, all the other activities which are related to the academic programs, run smoothly and function smoothly. But, it is much beyond that, in the capacity that the registrar is the person who should facilitate a smooth operation of all the silos in a synergized effort. So, he is a facilitator.

How do you strategize about the key programs and plans for the marketing and administration of your institution?

“Tagline the importance we have been creating of the students and other institutes”

We have put the maximum emphasis on driving the quality, impact on whatever we do beat into academics. The students have an opportunity to interact with the teachers, maybe with doubt, or maybe with innovative ideas to be implemented. Several institutes and colleges came forward to understand from us the system we have been using and hence the strategies we follow help several institutes in the same way. So it is the fastest-growing institute in marketing when nobody has ever thought of this kind of growth in any kind of private university, and the most technologically enabled University. But there is another very important tagline to this.

How does the curriculum of SNU ensure the best practice of the industry?

“Association with firms for activity-based learning and trained faculty”

So we're talking about the gap. The industry has got a major role in the curriculum not only in the curriculum development but also the delivery of this curriculum, meaning how to be delivered. We modified the conception of the industry to the partnership.

We adopted the curriculum where TCS trained our faculty members as per their requirements. We sent our faculty to PCs, DCs, and ISI, they were jointly teaching this faculty intern trade, the assessment was done by TCS regularly every semester. And it was a huge success in 2019.

How is your university more welcoming to the students of different races or economic backgrounds?

“No racisms in the institute and promotes equality among all the students of the college”

The University doesn't allow any kind of racial discrimination. The university welcomes students from every corner of the society, any kind of students willing to join the university. Here we have students from almost all the states of India, almost all the communities and that is the spirit of Sister Nivedita. Number two is that the university offers full scholarships and partial scholarships to almost 5% to 10% of our students. So we recognize the need of helping or extending our helping hand to the kind of students who are coming from an economically challenging environment, and we do it based upon merit.

What do you think should be the University’s top priority over the next 10 years?

“Several activities and well structured evolved academia to the students”

Delivering the best quality education and research that is number one, to have this being done by the best people in the industry, that means, we have already attracted industries on the best faculty members across all the departments the best teaching-learning environment, which is friendly to all the stakeholders, to put enough emphasis on the learning outcomes, which also involves fine placements, because the placement is one of the outcomes. Next, we are planning to do several other activities of the university, which would be for the community, meaning for the teachers of the schools, for the teachers of the colleges, who like to enrich themselves in various kinds of courses.

What was your vision for the university? How has it evolved with time?

“Evolution is a perpetual activity in the educational sector”

We are meeting our expectations, we are doing it in time but then again, there’s a lot more to evolve and I would say evolved, but it gradually improved. When we think about it, we have a vision, but, when it comes to actual implementation, there are several other things with us about what has happened, besides, when we try to implement there are several good things we had added up to it. So that means enriching the vision. So what happened was the enrichment of the vision. So, we are pretty sure that we can achieve the kind of goals and objectives that we had set forward.

What would you like people to know about your university they may not know?

“Cost-efficient education with a great infrastructure and several facilities”

We would like people to know that this is an affordable and a sought after destination for higher education and additional researchers. So that is what we want people to know. Geographically it is located in the heart of the city, so we want to build its quality and let people know that this is an institution that would help them build a career.

What do you see as SNU’s greatest strengths?

“Value to the members associated in the well being of the institute”

SNU’s greatest strengths are its faculty, the teaching community, and technology enablement. Its friendliness towards all stakeholders. The understanding of the need for the army, that's more important for a university to understand. I mean, for example, if I go on imparting traditional education, and it doesn't solve any, any purpose, and then perhaps I'm wrong. So I have to be, I have to be able to evolve around something, which adds value to it.

What are some future plans for SNU's international affairs and/or students?

“Exploration of international careers to develop diversity among our students”

We already have more than 30 MUs that have already been signed with leading universities across the globe and institutions across the globe. We do have an office called International Relations and where you know, we have got various things I'll share with you. I mean you can go to our Facebook page, you can find the videos, university and so on and so forth, all these things are there. So basically, what we hear in most of the interviews are on pen and paper. So nothing much is implemented. But we have started doing it. So maybe we'll take some time more but these international relations are on the job and they are paying quite fine.
