What are the key factors that keep you connected with the education sector?

“A platform to learn new things and grow constantly”

Education system is the noble sector which gives you internal pleasure and sense of respect in the society. I am always proud to be the guide of young educators and help them reach their goals which gives me a lot of satisfaction and happiness. Constant learning and updating oneself with current trends in the education system and especially about the changing scenario of the education system keeps me well connected in this sector. Always being in touch with young minds keeps me always young and active.

How does the curriculum of your academy ensure the best practice of industry?

“Industry connect through training and internship”

Our curriculum is a blend of academic theory and industry practices followed with utmost preference. We use industrial visits, industry expert lectures and industrial internships to inculcate rich practical knowledge and skills amongst our students. In fact, this is something we always look into and keep the industry connected through training and placement cells and our centre of excellence. Also, we make use of real-time case studies, live and industry sponsored projects, and other pedagogical practices to make sure our students are well equipped to become industry managers and entrepreneurs.

What is your opinion on the New Education Policy 2020?

“An effective and regulatory approach for better career and skill development”

Yet for a long time, the Indian education system was being questioned for its lack of effectiveness. The National Education Policy, 2020 is meant to provide an overarching vision and comprehensive framework for both school and higher education across the country. If implemented effectively, the policy can help reshape the future of the workforce and help the emerging job seekers become more job-ready with all the relevant skills. Business leaders struggled to find job-ready talent and job-seekers grappled to find a job where their skills match the demand. But now the future looks promising with a new revised policy in process that aims to focus on the holistic development of the emerging workforce students.

What do you see as TAE’s greatest strengths?

“Top quality facilities and expert faculty”

Trinity Academy of Engineering was established in 2010 located on 12 acres and 22000 sq.m. constructed state of the art, world-class infrastructure. Campus is well equipped with best laboratories, workshops, libraries, hostel, canteen, sports facilities, transportation facility and other amenities to create a conducive environment for students in attaining highest standards in academics, research and professional skills. Trinity Academy of Engineering is accredited by NAAC ‘A’ Grade. The faculty in the Institute are a mix of experienced and young dynamic technocrats devoted to teaching.

What do you think should be the academy’s top priority over the next 10 years?

“Enhancing course programs and improving academic excellence”

Regularly review and evaluate current programs for relevancy to the employment of our students within the workforce and look for opportunities to add on additional programs to support student success. This could include advanced courses like Electric Vehicles, Robotics and Automation, 3d Printing, AI and data Science etc. which we are planning to put on. Also, continuous review and improvement in the effectiveness of our assessment of learning outcomes and establish procedures to assure academic programs and grants. Increase success in recruiting and retaining excellent faculty and facilitate effective faculty governance by maintaining and increasing communications and transparency of process throughout the institution is what we are looking forward to.

What are some of the biggest challenges you see for higher education in India?

“Switching from campus life to the digital world”

At the moment, the COVID -19 pandemic is the biggest challenge we all are facing. We are conducting our classes digitally and like many other institutions, the transition from the classroom to digital has been challenging and quality compromising. We have to adapt our curriculum accordingly to address the issue and prior to the start of the academic year; we conducted an induction program to give a brief idea about our strategies and programs we would be running. Our challenge is not being at the campus at the moment but, being a technical institution, how to get the practical assignments and laboratory sessions done which is not possible at all to the expected level in online mode.

Any suggestions you would like to give to the current youth?

“Clear your vision and believe in your value”

Have a vision about your life, about your career, about your goal and pre-plan for it. Never give up on anything which you truly and whole-heartedly aspire for, till you get exhausted with all the possibilities. Believe in team spirit and coordination. We as individuals may not be able to everything, but we all can do something in our best capacity.
