VSOM

In your experience, what can an inbound student gain from studying here at VSOM?

“Dynamic academic practices to enhance one’s knowledge sphere”

Today’s education has evolved to blended learning, which allows youth and adults to stay connected while learning new things. In our institute, students focus on intermingled learning nowadays that makes students sincere towards their studies. Before blending learning students specialize in room study. Content is the same but the delivery of the subject has moved towards blended learning. We at Vishisht School of Management provide Value Added Certification Courses for students, which increase their knowledge in different fields.

How does the curriculum of VSOM ensure the best practice of industry?

“Numerous add-on courses and programs with industrial respect”

Vishisht School of Management specializes in the overall development of students. We offer extra certification courses in order that students hook up with industries. We offer certification courses like Six Sigma, French Language, Personality Development and plenty of more. With these student development programmes being conducted each week, we groom one’s personality as per industry needs and requirements. For management students, the focus is mainly on how to connect students with corporate or industry backgrounds. For this, we provide them industry visits for learning new methodologies.

How in your opinion is cultural diversity important in an academic institution?

“Disseminating a broader range of learning and thinking styles”

Having culturally diverse peers isn’t the only way students benefit from diversity on campus. They also get the chance to see and experience various leadership styles from faculty, staff, administrators, and community members. For many students, it’s an opportunity to see somebody from an analogous background that they can emulate. This is especially impactful for college students from traditionally underrepresented communities. Through culturally numerous classroom and social interactions, students have the opportunity to learn from individuals with completely different backgrounds and upbringings, resulting in magnified innovation and collaboration.

What do you think should be VSOM’s top priority over the next 10 years?

“Establishing a strong alumni network and placement focus”

In my opinion, colleges should maintain relationships with students after graduation so that they can assist us as needed. The college must also place a greater emphasis on practical exposure because it will prepare students to work in corporate environments. Also, we should lay a greater emphasis on placement activities, which can be a major draw for students in the region.

What do you see as Vishisht School of Management’ greatest strengths?

“A learner-oriented and sound learning approach with required facilities”

Our focus on Blended Learning and providing students with Value Added Certification Courses apart from the syllabus are the key strengths that set us apart. We deal with the overall development of students by providing them extra knowledge under various Student Development Programs as well. Personal guidance is given to each and every student and a Mentor is allocated for his/ her queries so that one-to-one interaction can be easily made with students. Moreover, we offer a healthy environment for students, secured with CCTV Cameras and a Wifi assisted Campus.

What are some of the biggest challenges you see for higher education?

“Proper delivery and implementation of protocols related to education’’

The challenges in today’s scenario are that we are lacking in education management because we don’t always get that crowd to deliver, and when we do, the deliverance isn’t up to par. Many times, modifications are made by the government under various policies, but they are not implemented, which is a major disadvantage in general. Although policy framing is beneficial to the educational system as it allows for new improvements to be easily made for future generations, it also requires good execution in order for it to be fruitful as a whole.

Any suggestions you would like to give to the current students?

“Use modern gadgets appropriately”

In my perspective, today's learning is no longer limited to classroom study but has transitioned to digitized learning. Digitized in the sense that it should not be misappropriated to allow students to do other work while attending courses. It’s a good sign that we can quickly learn and continue our studies no matter where we are. As a result, I recommend that you take advantage of this chance in a constructive way. Make sure you’re always prepared to confront new obstacles in life by grooming yourself.
