An experience of being in touch with the young minds

I have an experience of about 25 years in Education sector, I have established educational Institutes in North Karnataka. It’s the best sector to work because we are in touch with young minds which makes ourselves keep young. We get an opportunity to counsel, guide and give direction to their careers. Once they achieve in life, we feel we have achieved in life. For me, it’s just a passion to be in educational sector and work in shaping careers of students

Mr. Basari’s philosophy of leadership

My Philosophy of leadership is to keep all my staff members happy and extract work from them. Nobody should be frustrated to work, as we spend our maximum hours of day in the campus, all should work as a family. I describe my leadership style in this way: ”Be with the team, work with the team and achieve as a team”

Curriculum designed to keep in pace with the industry

Our curriculum is based on KUD curriculum, to keep in pace with industry, we provide value addition courses which are industry relevant and help the students to get better jobs.

Establishing a relationship with the students

I ensure when students approach me, I solve their problems immediately, by which they feel I am a solution provider. I help them if they are good, I take strict action if they do mistake, by which I ensure that they have a mixed feeling about me that I am humble and strict at the same time. I am available to the students 24x7.

Increasing placement changes by SWOT analysis

A student can be only placed if he has all the qualities which an organisation expects from him. It’s our duty to ensure that students are well equipped with all the skills the industry expects from him.

We do students’ SWOT analysis, and train them to improve their weakness to strength, through various soft skill training programs. We are further looking to place all the students in top organisations with minimum package of Rs.8 lakhs per annum. Looking for new avenues which gives better exposure by getting top HR executives to address, conduct workshop and mould the students.

Challenges for the Executive Director of IBMR B-School

As an Executive Director of IBMR, the challenges I faced were students who were joining MBA programs were not up to the mark in terms of communications, personality, academic, we have to groom them right from basics of dressing to other.
