New Delhi: Karnatak University PhD Admission 2022 has started for the academic session 2022-23. Aspiring candidates can submit the online application form at official portal, kud.ac.in by May 9, 2022. 

Karnatak University offers Ph.D programmes either in part-time or a full-time mode in almost 42 courses under different departments. Candidates seeking admission to the PhD programme can submit their applications till May 9, 2022. 

Candidates seeking admissions to Karnatak University PhD 2022 at the university must meet the eligibility criteria, after which they have to attend the entrance exam conducted by the university. 

Karnatak University Admission 2022 to the Ph.D program is based on the written test of 100 marks. All the questions will be in MCQ format. The candidates who qualify the written test have to appear for the Personal Interview round. The candidates, who have qualified GATE, SLET, UGC- NET, JRF or are FIP/QIP fellows, need not appear for the written test.

Karnatak University PhD Admission 2022: Eligibility Criteria

• Candidates must hold a PG degree from a recognized University and foreign candidates (sponsored by their Embassies) and sponsored candidates must have secured a minimum of 55% marks (50% for SC/ST/Cat-I/Physically challenged candidates) at the PG Degree to be eligible to apply for the Ph.D. Program.
• In case of candidates appointed on regular basis prior to March 31, 1992 as teachers, Librarians and Physical Education personnel in Colleges and University Departments, the minimum marks shall be 50% (45% for SC/ST/Cat-I/) provided they (employees) are continuing in service at the time of submission of application for registration.
• If the results of a Master’s Degree are declared in the form of Grades/Credits/ Cumulative Points in their marks cards/ transcripts, such Grades/Points shall be converted into percentages to assess the minimum eligibility criteria. 

Karnatak University PhD Admission 2022: Selection Process

• Once the entrance exam is concluded, the university shall prepare the merit list of the candidates as per the merit obtained in the entrance exam and qualifying exam in the ratio of 50:50. 
• The shortlisted candidates will have to attend the interview in respective PG departments. 
• There will be no waiting list for candidate's selection to the Ph.D program.

• Visit the official application portal of Karnatak University at kud.ac.in. 
• Register yourself after filling the required details, such as Mobile number, Email Id etc.
• Now, login with your registration credentials and fill all details in the Application form.
• Pay the application fee of INR 2200 to the following bank details, and submit the Application form. 
• Applicants must also take a print out of the form for all future needs.

Karnatak University Ph.D Admission 2022: Entrance Exam 

• Candidates possessing the minimum percentage of marks at their PG Degree as specified in Regulations 1.1 and 1.2 shall appear for the Entrance Test. 
• However, (a) Govt. Sponsored foreign candidates, (b) candidates who have cleared the UGC/UGC-CSIR / JRF Test/ NET/SLET (Karnataka)/GATE/ GRE/M Phil (Admitted through an Entrance Test) shall be exempted from the Entrance Test.
• Candidates who have cleared UGC/UGC-CSIR JRF Test/ NET /SLET (Karnataka)/ GATE/ GRE/ M Phil (Admitted through an Entrance Test) Exam willing to appear for the Entrance test should apply separately.
