What are your views on the future of education in the rapid trend of technological addition in every course curriculum?

“Future course would be accessible by anyone, anywhere and at anytime”

Education will become more practical, skill-based, and flexible enabling learners to access learning, from anywhere and at any time. Skills will rule the education world. Since technology will be disrupting and dominating the education sector, there will be more tech integration in education in the form of digital learning, remote learning, and flexible learning. Rapid technological advancement will force learners to skill themselves at each stage of their career and hence lifelong learning will be the key to remaining relevant. Learning resources will be abundant but validating and structuring information for use will be a great challenge. Campus libraries will have to re-imagine themselves to cater to the need of digital natives who will throng the campuses, immune to reading books but accessing all their needs on that tiny Personal Digital Assistants (PDA), digital devices i.e. Tablet/smart phones, etc.

What were the challenges that you faced while inculcating the new program in your curriculum?

“Finding a passionate teacher was the biggest challenge while inculcating the new program in curriculum”

The biggest challenge was finding passionate teachers who will drive learning in our campus and during outbound activities. Another challenge was of convincing existing faculties on the need to adapt to the new methods of teaching. Teachers abhor engaging students online and they found embracing digital tools a little challenging. It made Vishwa Vishwani to initiate series of FDPs to train the teachers to handle new programs.
