Dr. Jayarenjini N is a HOD of Electronics and Communication Engineering department in the ACE Engineering College, Trivandrum. She did B.Tech Degree in ECE, and M.Tech Degree in Microwave or Television Engineering from College of Engineering, Trivandrum. She also received a Ph. D Degree in RF and Microwave Antennas from University of Kerala. She has more than 16 years of teaching experience. She received ISTE Best Teacher Award from ISTE Kerala Chapter.

What is the latest program offered on campus to help students outperform and stand apart from the crowd?

“Add on courses and industry visits are available for students”

Our campus provides industry visits for students at the end of year. They can learn about industry and attain some experience. We provide various add on courses such as programming in Python, Coding Skills, CPP, Business Analytics, Artificial Intelligence and Machine learning for pupils. It helps students outperform and stand apart.

One of the most prominent fields of engineering is ECE and its scope is very high. Our primary goal is to produce knowledgeable, competent and resourceful young engineers. They get a wide variety of job opportunities in industries. 

Another department strength lies in its faculty. Most faculty are pursuing PhD from elite universities and institutions from India. They always strive hard to train our students in theoretical and practical aspects.

What would you say as the best practices in the course offered in ACE Engineering College, Trivandrum?

Our department emphasizes on Project Based Learning. We organize more projects and exhibitions under the department association AXIOM. It mainly focus on socially relevant projects. We guide students to present papers in reputed SCI/Scopus journals and IEEE conferences.

What are some valuable insights of the program that you are offering at ACE Engineering College, Trivandrum?

“Technical seminars, machine learning, and conferences are offered through our programs”

We focus on core specialized subjects such as Electronic Circuits, Digital, Signal Processing, Communications, VLSI and Embedded systems, Microwave Engineering, Antenna Design etc. All these courses are followed by project work and technical seminars.Our campus offers minor degrees in Computer Science and Robotics.

Students are encouraged to take up the Projects in the new areas like Machine learning and presenting papers in conferences.

We give industry oriented training to students. It assists them for placements in reputed companies like TCSNinja, IBS, Speridian Technologies, Quest Global, NeST Digital etc. Additionally, they get Internship opportunities with KELTRON, CDAC, ICFOSS, CDIT and other leading industries. What are the types of projects that the students are working through programs in ACE Engineering College, Trivandrum?

“Socially relevant projects are being worked on by students nowadays”

Most of our students are doing socially relevant projects such as Apprehension of Sleep Apnea in Aged and Infants, Accident Notification Ingenious Helmet System, and Detection of leaf diseases. All these projects deal with processing techniques which are helpful for farmers, and Beach Cleaning Vision System. Some of the projects worked by pupils are Performance Comparison of Massive MIMO system with and without Channel Coding, Stabilizing 360 degree videos, Hexagonal shaped UWB Antenna loaded with complementary HSRR etc.
