Dr. Bisnoiya ideas on Education Industry
In the last two decades, the education industry in India has shown remarkable growth in terms of the number of institutions and universities. In the race of increasing the quantity, the quality is being compromised. The actual purpose of education is defeated because people have started running it as a corporate. It is the need of the hour to focus on the quality of education. In fact, education is the backbone of society. It is a noble profession. The next generation is being trained in different fields for taking up global challenges with ethics and moral values. In the current scenario, plenty of employment opportunities are there in the education sector varying from teaching, training, marketing, finance, commerce and human resources. The advantages of working in the education sector are fixed working hours, exposure to numerous perspectives, opportunities to learn new things, interpersonal communications and personal fulfilment.
Leadership Philosophy and Style
In my opinion, being a strict BOSS does not work in the education sector. I always believe in teamwork. Though I am bit strict with team members to accomplish a particular task but at the same time, I am supportive also. In the sector of education, all team members are intellectual so it is very important to deal with them at the same level. The leadership style may vary according to the situation. When it comes to the quality of imparting education I never compromise. I always welcome innovative and good ideas coming from any level of the hierarchy.
Obstacles faced at the University
Since life is full of challenges, a true leader is one who can face the challenges with the right approach and positivity and accomplish the goal. As a Director of JLU School of Engineering & Technology and as an individual I always take challenges as an opportunity to prove myself and learn new things.
Ensuring best curriculum practices in the University
The University offers B.Tech. (Honors) Mechanical Engineering (Automobile/Manufacturing); B.Tech. (Honors) Computer Science & Engineering (AI/CTCS); BCA, MCA, MTech (CSE) and MTech (Thermal Engineering).
The unique features of B.Tech (Honors) programme are:
- Specialization offered at the undergraduate level
- Inbuilt four weeks international study tour to German Universities under JLU Global Immersion Programme
- Domain-specific industry internships in order to get hands-on experience of latest cutting edge technologies
- 8th Semester Fully dedicated for Project Based Industrial Training Only
With these unique features, the programme is aligned with current industry demand and fulfills the industry requirement of skilled and trained graduate engineers. The Board of Studies is conducted almost every year to update and revise curriculum as per the latest technological changes and demand of the industry.
In this way the curriculum of JLU School of Engineering & Technology ensures best practices of the industry.
An encouraging attitude for students
As the Director, I am just like the head of JLU-SOET family wherein my students are younger. I treat them as a mentor, philosopher and sometimes as a friend. I always encourage them to open up to share their problems, new ideas, suggestions etc with me. They can meet me in person during office hours and mail or text me round the clock.
Changes noticed in the Education Sector
The large number of institutions and universities opened up in the last few years in India but
unfortunately, the majority of them are imparting theoretical education. They are lacking in terms of state of the art infrastructure, qualified faculty members and laboratory facilities etc. Corporate/industry requires graduates who are trained for specific skill sets, having the right approach, teamwork, leadership qualities and above all ready to learn new things and take up challenges.
Dr. Bisnoiya goals for JLU in the coming years
My vision for JLU-SOET for next few years is to become the resource centre in central India. We are aiming to provide quality education, training, and skill development through certification programs as per cutting edge technologies in order to produce world class industry ready graduating engineers.
Suggestions to youth and aspiring students
I always suggest the young aspirants to choose the programme for UG studies by their own interest and not under influence of friends, family members or relatives. Dream high, work hard, be focused and positive then the success will be at your doorstep.
