What was your vision for the university? Has it evolved over time, and how far along in implementing that vision are you?
“Academic planning begins with an institution’s mission and core values”
My vision was to guide young scholars toward the nuances of disciplinary cuisine. An institutional commitment to curiosity and teaching results in embracing the values of liberal education, from critical thinking and self-development to understanding matters of difference and diversity.
When that mission centers on liberal education, an entire community of students, faculty, and administrators must find common ground in the face of critical issues, from resource allocation to interdisciplinarity and diversity. My vision was: “the best academic vision builds on intellectual curiosity and the impulse to teach.”
What goals do you have in your mind for the university for next few years?
“Our prime focus will be research and signing valuable MOU’s to enhance learning”
In the next few years, we plan to enhance the School of law’s image by focusing on research activities. We have introduced several projects upon which the faculties, as well as students, are working on. Since our students are doing excellent on the academic front, our prime focus will be on utilizing our human resource’s research skills and motivating all the stakeholders for the same. For implementing the same vision, we plan to have MOU’s with leading Indian and foreign universities and organizations of repute.

We have evolved as a student-Faculty coordination approach mechanism, where students are made to understand the critical strategy of working together. It is carried under the mentorship of their faculties and seniors. They are prepared for the actual world to employ the experience they have acquired while managing and conducting all essential programs.
School of Law has incessantly been in the process of producing scholarly law graduates who outshine their own preceding batch’s reputation. We have always considered our students as our brand ambassadors.
How does the law program ensure a practical approach when it is being taught?
“The subject of law is always related to a person and society”
As a subject, it always involves applying the law to redress the enforcement of rights in every domain, either civil, criminal, or constitutional. We ensure to impart the law's practical application, and Case Study teaching methodology plays a useful tool for making students understand the implementation part.
Apart from these, students are sent for internships for four weeks every year after completing the semester. They are sent to different District and Sessions courts, High courts, Supreme Court, Law firms, LPO’s, NGO’s, State Human Rights Commissions, and various other legal important places. During internships, students understand what they have read and understood in the real sense.

What suggestions would you like to give to the current students, who are pursuing law courses?
“Students should make sure to effectively use their time”
I would suggest the students to effectively make use of every resource available to extract maximum possible knowledge. Then I suggest they dive in and get real-life experience. Work as an intern, paralegal, or any other capacity to gain experience in the legal arena. There is no better way to experience law and decide on the career you want. Only by interning in the field will you know what you want to pursue. Lectures are where your knowledge begins, not where it ends. Attend your courses with anxiety, something new will be delivered to you every time.
