How do you train students for better career opportunities ahead?

“Provisioning industrial training and skill development”

Right from the first year, students undergo training covering English Communication, Aptitude, Logical Reasoning, Soft Skills, Technical Trainings relevant to their Engineering Branch. These activities ensure that by the time students come in the final year they are more employable, industry-ready and prepared to fight competition for better career opportunities.

What strategy do you follow to help students prepare for the placements?

“Collaborations and corporations with practical exposure”

In order to help students prepare for placements, we keep a close watch on students’ progress through training that they undergo from the first year itself. If required we provide extra training and practical sessions to the students who are weak. We have partnered with a lot of Agencies and Companies whose trainers are coaching our students on campus and outside as well. We make sure that the technical training is imparted through industry experts only so as to ensure that our students get the best skillset and exposure for placements ahead.

How does your institute differ in providing Training and Placement to students?

“Offering industry-ready placements and employability”

Over a period, we have built very strong corporate connections and we provide a very good number of placement opportunities with established companies and good brands. We make sure by the time students come in the final year of their course, they are fully-fledged professionals with all the skills and aptitude. We train them on topics apart from the syllabus to fulfill the industry requirement. The average placement rate at the institute is close to 80-85% and we are consistently working to get that number to 100%.

Being the Director, Corporate Relations, what are your roles and responsibilities?

“Arranging and establishing placement drives and adequate training”

My major responsibility is to explore the best placement opportunities for our students and ensure that they are best prepared to get placements in the provided opportunities. My responsibility also involves providing them adequate training and arrangements that prepare them for the placements. I keep a close watch on job market trends which includes identifying areas and industries, having good openings in alignment with the skills of our students. I also reach out to the company HR convincing them for campus drives.

How do you strategize the placement process for your students?

“Fair availability and global opportunity”

Our Placement process is very well defined ensuring equal and fair opportunities to all students, ensuring good participation in placement drives and ensuring good joining in the company post-selection. The placement process is well-suited to bring the best out of students. As of now, we are focused on Indian companies but from the last few years, we have also started exploring good international placement opportunities for our students. Over the next few years, our students would be heading for opportunities in international placements as well.

Any advice you would like to give to the students seeking jobs and placements?

“Preparation is a must for all”

My advice to the students is there is no dearth of good companies offering really good packages coming for campus drives. So, students should be well prepared to fight competition to secure a job. Companies will keep coming and going; you will stay unplaced if your preparation is not good.
