With an award-winning Ph.D. Thesis, Dr. Subhash Sharma is currently serving as Director - Pacific School of Law at Pacific University, Udaipur. He is a Life Member of ISTD and has more than 42 research papers in his credit on literature, language and more than 15 students have been awarded Ph.D. under his guidance. Serving as Member- Board of Management, Member - Academic Council and Chief Academic Coordinator at different Institutions of Higher Learning, he has conducted more than 30 workshops on Soft Skills, Personality Development and GD & PI in various government and private colleges.

How would you describe your leadership style?

“Leading for illustrations and skill enhancement”

My leadership abilities and style are more straightforward, and I prefer to lead by example, which helps me connect with others and accept assistance in completing tasks. I enjoy delegating tasks and taking the lead on projects, and I also enjoy staying involved and motivating my team by demonstrating that I am also working hands-on to assist them. I sharpen the skills of the students; more specifically, talents and skills are only one part of the equation, and it’s also important to be able to extract value from skills.

How does the curriculum of your school ensure the best practice of industry?

“Blended learning with industry-relevance and style”

In general, the curriculum is evaluated and modified every year in accordance with UGC criteria, so that students receive the most up-to-date and relevant knowledge required in their careers. This is something we always look into and are continuously innovating. The practicalities of the University’s curriculum or material give a holistic approach to developing students. Our program is a mix of academic theory and industry practices. We utilize business simulations, real-time case studies, live projects, and other instructional techniques to make sure our students are well suited to become industry managers and leaders. 

How do you tend to enhance the skills of the students? 

“Pedagogical approaches with a better environment”

The strategy, structure of the study materials, instructional approach, syllabus and curricular practicality, among other things, enrich student development in a better way. Humanity, skills and knowledge are to be instilled in students in order for them to better serve society. This will aid in the development of positive change and students will be able to discover themselves while also becoming a part of societal change. This will also instill excellent behaviours that are necessary for being a decent citizen.

What are your roles and responsibilities towards the students?

“Self-awakening and nourishing good qualities” 

As a teacher, I believe that I should have a policy of recognizing, identifying, and nurturing each student’s individual strengths in order to help them succeed. I also believe that students are the lifeline of the nation so it is necessary that we prepare our students in such a way that they become bonafide citizens of our country. For this purpose, we nurture all the qualities of becoming a good citizen. I assist students in improving and updating their understanding of subjects.

What can an inbound student gain from studying here at your University?

“Learner-oriented atmosphere and global standards of education”

We at Pacific provide a platform where students can not only improve their abilities and knowledge but also learn how to solve problems in a practical way. Pacific employs the best methods in dealing with pupils in terms of providing instruction outside of the theory portion of the curriculum. We have exchange programs in certain of our courses at the university level, and attempts are being made to pursue more MOUs that will offer us an advantage in imparting diverse skills based on competition assessments. At Pacific University, we are working hard to bring our activities up to par, so that the students as a whole benefit and we as a university benefit as well.

Any suggestions you would like to give to the current youth?

“Keep your goals higher and efforts highest”

The young blood should think and aspire for high aims in life, and must also do hard work to achieve the same. We all commit mistakes, just learn from our mistakes and never be afraid of failure. Collect the strength and do extra hardship to achieve success.
