Mentoring students is immensely rewarding. Helping them succeed in their careers and professional development is very satisfying. Also, interaction with students reduces generation gaps and one is able to closely follow changing times. It in turn leads to individualizing teaching as per student’s need, as every student has different requirements and thus leads to expansion of the knowledge base for better dissemination.

How do you focus on practical learning for students along with theoretical knowledge?
“We ensure to club the theoretical knowledge with the practical implementations”
Theoretical knowledge is validated through well-designed experiments in laboratories. The application is extended by students' participation in activities like demonstrations, field visits, industrial visits, projects, and guest lectures. In addition to classroom teaching, students undergo internships and regularly participate in seminars and attend workshops and conferences, keeping them abreast with the latest trends and developments in the field. For PG programs, the dissertation project warrants extended interactions with the community, industries, and institutions and prepares students for the real settings.
How do you strategize the curriculum and how often it gets updated to make befitting for the students?
“Curriculum is revised periodically whenever necessary”
Curriculum, being one of the significant aspects of the teaching-learning process, needs continuous and periodic evaluation. In this regard, the department provides the necessary arrangements for feedback responses from students, teachers, and other curriculum stakeholders.
The curriculum is revised and updated annually as per the laid down practices with participation from subject experts and industry. It ensures reducing the gap between current requirements and the theoretical/practical coverage as per national and international norms.
