Describe the general setting of WAT / GD (if any)?

Shyla Nehru :

“ The WAT setting was for 30 minutes in the month of February in the offline mode. An A4 sheet was provided to all the students present for WAT/PI and the same topic was given to all of us. The most important tip is to not start writing without thinking and structure your thoughts including examples and facts if needed. “

“ Morals and ethics being important for a curriculum and how to inculcate these “

What were your answers/points put forward for the WAT or GD respectively?

Shyla Nehru :

“ Since the topic was generic I have to keep my points forward on how morals should be a part of curriculum but cannot necessarily be taught in class and how they have been instilled in an individual since childhood. Certain solutions were provided on how morals be taught to students in life. “

Describe the general setting of your personal Interview.

Shyla Nehru :

“ The interview was taken by a panel of 3 members all being the faculty at IIM Indore, It was conducted in the offline mode itself after the WAT round was completed. The average duration for each interview was 20 minutes. “

Shyla Nehru :

"The questions asked to me were:

1) Introduce yourself

I spoke about whatever I had written in the form that I had submitted before WAT and PI highlighting my strengths and achievements.

2) Questions were on my work at JP Morgan and which software and technology we work on and what my work is.

3) Asked about C, C++ languages that I studied during graduation along with their applications in the business environment.

4) The questions were asked on the topics of mathematics and were given certain equations to draw graph of the same. The questions were on differentiation.

5) Extempore of one minute on the topic of technology- a boon or a bane"

Mention 3 reasons why you chose this college over other colleges which you converted (OR if you did not join this college after converting it, mention 3 reasons for not joining it).

"1) I joined the college because after working at JP Morgan I wanted to enter the field of finance and this college provides ample opportunities in the domain.

2) It is an IIM and part of coveted BLACKI

3) The campus is rated very well since it has a huge 200 acres of campus."

What was the reason for you not converting other colleges?

Shyla Nehru :

“ The reason for not converting to other colleges was my nervous experience in the interview as they were stressful interviews which I didn't handle well. “
