What has been your vision for the College?

“To help students grow professionally and personally in all domains”

My involvement with the HIMT group started in 2007 when I enrolled in the MCA program. In spite of belonging to a rural area, I have not faced any difficulty in settling into the college. The college environment was extremely student-friendly and the teachers were extremely supportive. I am proud to be heading placements and admissions for the same group. Over the years, the institute has evolved to achieve 100% placements. Students are interacting more with industry, visiting factories, and participating in in-house training programs.

What can an inbound student gain from studying here in the college?

“Experiential and comprehensive learning for a modern job market”

In addition to theory classes, we offer training and internships to the students. Our students get industrial exposure through industrial visits and interactive classes with alumni. We offer special training programs that work in conjunction with industry to develop students' practical skills. Our students are also placed with reputed companies in all domains through our tie-ups.

How do you maintain a healthy environment in your college?

“A mentorship program allowing everyone to interact comfortably”

Our teachers and students interact on a one-to-one basis. The mentor and mentee system allows us to accomplish this. One faculty member is assigned to every 20 students as a mentor. Throughout the term, the mentor stays in close contact with their mentee group and helps resolve all issues. Activities organized outside of the curriculum enhance skills and enable students to develop as individuals.

What are the greatest strengths of The College?

“Our biggest strength is the 10k+ alumni who work for renowned companies”

We have 10,000+ alumni working in reputed companies; I think this is our biggest strength.

HIMT campus was established in 1998, making it one of the oldest campuses in the city. I am proud to say that we have been in business for 23 years. We have a ragging-free campus. Whenever any student is found to be acting in a disruptive manner, we enforce strict measures. Students receive 100% placement assistance from us. On-campus, we have well-trained faculty, a well-equipped library, and a sports field. A cafeteria and separate hostels are also available within the campus.

Any insights into how your college could be more welcoming to students of different backgrounds?

"We offer scholarships to students who are economically weak or meritorious”

We offer scholarship programs for economically disadvantaged students and meritorious girls. Our campus has 50% female students, which is a blessing. In our college, we have a common dress code to maintain uniformity among students of different races and economic backgrounds.

What according to you should be the top priority of The College for the next 5 years?

“We seek accreditation for all degrees we offer”

Providing high-quality education remains our main goal. In addition, we want to ensure that our degrees are accredited so that our students can compete in the marketplace. We are always improving our Teaching Staff, hostel facilities, cultural environment, and practical experience. By educating students on best practices, we want to prepare them for the future.
