Dr. Aneet Bedi is the Director of Gian Jyoti Institute of Management and Technology. She did MBA and Ph.D. in Human Resource Management. She has served as a President of Chandigarh Management Association and a Governing Council Member of TiE. Her interest areas are Organizational Behavior and Human Resource Management. Several research papers are published by her in national journals. She is the recipient of the Rashtrapati Award by the President of India for Bharat Scouts and Guides in 1992.

What are the key factors that connect you with the education sector?

You get an idea about the world around you through the teaching profession in the education sector. It assists you to learn new ideas and grow with your students. One of the essential needs for children is quality education. 


How do you describe your leadership style?

“Develop the team goals and focus on long-term planning on the campus”

I focus on long-term planning and analyze the performance of students. Our campus updates the syllabus each year and I deal with the concerns of students. Partnerships and collaborations are necessary for the success of an institution. 


How do you strategize plans for the marketing of  Gian Jyoti Institute of Management and Technology?

“To personalize communication skills among students and marketing automation of campus”

One of the primary plans is to centralize strategy and reporting. We decided to track the KPIs, and improve SEO and marketing automation. Another focus is on improving communication and building a friendly digital brand. 


How can students prepare for admission in GJIMT?

“Prepare a holistic interview, build a portfolio and talk with previous alumni to know about campus”

The students should prepare a portfolio before getting admission to campus. They can talk to previous alumni and prepare for the interview. Students also get several scholarships and fee concessions based on merit marks.

We need to improve our education quality through technical methods. Another challenge is to provide employability for all students on campus. The financing of higher education is difficult for students from low economic backgrounds.

Any suggestions do you give for current youth?

“Learn from your past and perform well in every situation”

My suggestion for youth is to work hard and perform well from the beginning. It is necessary to never look back and learn everything from the past. Mistakes are normal. Make sure to not repeat the errors. One should always learn from their past and succeed in the future.
