What are the key factors that keep you connected with the education sector?

“The ability to furnish the career life of various students and the pride by their success”

The communication needed by the students for their career prospects keeps me motivated to always help them. With my association with education, I get knowledge about various upcoming technological advancements. I get an opportunity to communicate with great leaders and managers. My focus is on why I am in the teaching profession because I want to be delivered to the country a good leader. Not only in the financial aspect, I'm religious with the teaching, but we touch that social aspect also to make people make students to be a good leader, to be a good citizen.

Being the Principal of the Institute, what is your philosophy of leadership? How would you describe your leadership style?

“Democratic and participative leadership is my only choice for the institute”

I believe in Democratic leadership. It has become the new aspect of leadership mostly all the institutions seek to accept. The leader should be work with the sub-ordinates and also co-ordinate with the subordinate’s activities. I think the main role of the leaders in today's world is the first of all he should be motivated himself and then should be motivating towards his subordinates. I also think the approach of the leader should be more co-operating, coordinative, and supportive.

Being the Principal of the institute, how do you strategize about the key programs and plans for the marketing and administration of your institute?

“Advertisement through various media modes is our primary strategy”

We keep our focus on the local advertisements rather than the national ones; this is because the majority of our students are from the home state. We focus on local newspapers and local TV channels. The main thing is that for us the most important thing is word of mouth, we focus on that which makes the student to trust us and due to what our advertising is done by our students only. And besides that, for what we have in the commercial sector, we organize the advertisement in local papers, some kind of living newspapers and the posters for the admission.

Any insights into how your institute could be more welcoming to students of different races or economic backgrounds?

“The college promotes anti-racism and hence doesn’t believe in any kind of biased culture”

As an educational institute, we don’t promote any kind of biased nature among the students. We believe in the criteria of equality and that all the students deserve great education and facilities to create their lives the way they want it to be. We hence welcome all the students apart from their caste and religion. So basically in the end for peacekeeping we support all types of students coming from different backgrounds, whether it may be lower or middle class in the income group. In this scenario, we also provide them with great scholarship opportunities to reduce the economic and financial burden of the students.

What do you think your roles and responsibilities to the institute and the students are?

“Different roles need to be fulfilled as the different positions held in the institute”

  • As a professor at the institute, my basic role is to guide the students academically, helping them to solve out their doubts and problems.
  • The second role in the institute is the administrative role. Basically, I am a teacher, but also i.e. principal of the institute. I have to co-ordinate with various departments, Department Heads and also with other administrative staff.
  • As a principal I am the one who makes the decisions for giving the institution the right direction, that is the basic objective of the leader to guide them to give motivation towards the goal, and not only in a single form but in teamwork.
  • I should be a good motivator and coordinator.
  • Lastly, I should be a good director to guide everyone towards the goal.

What do you think should be the institute’s top priority over the next 10 years?

“To attract more students for the quality education to polish their future with dignity”

The institute's top priority for the next 10 years is that the approach should be changed from traditional to the modern education system. We are changing that aspect, we are changing the concept right now, we are focusing on virtual teaching. Also, it is very challenging for us to keep the students online from the online education system. It is the biggest challenge for the institute right now. To give the platform to make the interesting teaching, the teaching should be interested enough to attract the students towards the organization. So the priority is basically is to attract the more number of students towards the digital education system and change the approach of the education system of the institute to the modern education system i.e. Digital Education or online education.

When you first came to the institute, what was your vision for the Institute? Has it evolved, and how far along in implementing that vision are you?

“The college evolved and is still evolving with all the members growing with it’

I joined the institute a decade back; my only intention was to be a good teacher. The college gave me the experience of administration. I have seen the college being evolved with great facilities and steps towards various bigger achievements. As the Principal now, my vision is and not only on focusing on my teaching, not only focusing on my activities but focusing on the all-around activities of the organization.

What do you see as the institute’s greatest strengths?

“Overall development of the Institute for the overall growth of students”

  • Quality Education
  • Good Infrastructure of the institute
  • Betterment of students by various activities
  • Experienced faculty with well-structured academia.
  • Value of student’s thoughts and ideas
  • Open communication

How do you tend to establish a healthy relation and environment in your institute?

“Open communication is the key to the healthy environment of the college”

The basic and core aspect of making a healthy relationship in the organization is two-way communication. Communication should not be one way, if it is only coming from the teachers or the administrative staff, to the student, then it is problematic. The communication should come from the students, like give the feedback, give their opinions, and give their thoughts and ideas to develop the institution and to develop the organization.

Any suggestions you would like to give to the current youth and the aspiring students?

“Be honest to yourself and your education and never stop working for your goals”

I have only two suggestions for the upcoming generation.

  • Be honest with your education. The honesty towards your education would always benefit you and your country. If you’re honest with the education, you should be much more committed and when you’re honest with your country, you should be dedicated to your country.
  • Secondly, make a list of all the activities that you do in a day. Spend more than 60% of your waking hours on goal-achieving activities.
