How do you try to bring in a practical approach towards subjects?
“Structured curriculum and practical learning methodology”
We not only focus on the industry but also on the community. There are global debates to bring sociological understanding from classroom to community. As far as this approach is concerned, we try to make students understand the concepts and applicability of diverse subjects. We inculcate good learning and innovative practices to make things relate with the importance in real life. We develop and update the curriculum accordingly with practical requirements in various aspects of life. We incorporate case studies and projects; value added programs, guest lectures and surveys to aid our students with practical aspects of such a diverse subject.
How do you help your students to cope up with this highly competitive scenario?
“Providing best of education and support”
Education is a process of responsible undertaking and citizen making. We motivate students to understand things in their original shape. If a student could understand things and their applications, he/she could master any skill. Therefore, our primary focus is not on the competition but on making our students academically sound. We also help them learn how to socialize with families, strangers, peer groups and colleagues. We take all these aspects while educating them rather than focusing on only one part including mental strengthening and professional development.

What do you see as your college’s greatest strengths?
“Better opportunities and admirable faculty expertise”
Every course is focused on the applied aspects, whether it may be giving back to society or working for various industrial organizations. We also encourage students to understand the local (Indian) context so as they can develop analytical capability and country’s contribution in various fields. We have a team of experienced professionals as faculty, who leave no stone unturned to help and educate students in the best way possible. Also, we offer various activities wherein students get to know many leading personalities in the field and develop strong relations.
What are your roles and responsibilities towards the students?
“Enabling students to learn in a good and supportive atmosphere”
My primary goal is to make my students capable of learning by looking after how things are working in the department. I help my students regarding field study of the subject and enhance their abilities with my knowledge and experience of several years. I maintain a well-disciplined and structured workforce in coordination with other faculty to aid students’ betterment. With an empathic approach, everything comes in a proper direction and makes a healthy relationship with students.
Any insights of the course you are offering in your department?
“Community development and betterment of society as a whole”
Sociology, in general, is about dealing with society. In Sociology, we learn how to conduct ourselves and how to interact with others in community. Sociology helps us understand the behaviour of the diverse population in the community. When we know this, we can give direction to collective minds in a positive direction and suggest our policymakers to reset the priorities because social science is equally essential as natural science. At present, we live in a risk-based society; so remarkably, sociology balances the ecosystem, which is the need of the hour.

What valuable advice would you give to the students?
“Be positive and develop good hobbies”
My advice to students is to work hard because there is no shortcut or trick to success. If they want to be a better professional, then you must adopt a positive attitude and some influential habits like reading. You must enable yourself to understand the concepts, not just memorize them for a while. Develop better understanding for your society and nations as well.
