Being a Faculty of the CE Department, what are your responsibilities toward the students? 

As an Assistant Professor, my prime responsibility is to take lectures and educate my students on various topics. In addition to this, I need to continuously upgrade my knowledge and skills so that I can deliver best to students and for this, I regularly read books. Last but not least, taking good care of institution property, assigning homework and assignments to students on a regular basis and encouraging everyone to do their best also comes under the scope of my responsibilities.

How do you establish healthy relations with the students and fellow faculty of your college?

For the purpose of ensuring a healthy relationship with my dear students and fellow faculties of our college, I regularly interact with them to discuss their academic and non-academic issues and doubts and to fix them on time. Apart from this, I explicitly value the child over the content, set them up for success, assume the best in every student so that my students remain motivated. And when it comes to faculty members, then we all work as a team and always ensure support for each other in need. 

How do you bring in a practical and industry oriented approach towards subjects?

I firmly believe that practical education is the best way to gain actual knowledge and skills, to manage things and to survive in this competitive world. Books give you knowledge but experience teaches you crucial life lessons and trial and error method is the best way when it comes to practical learning.

Which best practices are offered by your department to students to help them gain necessary skills?

While teaching students, we devote our full time to know about their interests and passions and we have also integrated the latest technologies in all our domains and classrooms. Lastly, a wide variety of mini and major projects are allotted to students on a regular basis to embrace the best practical learning experience for them.

How does your Department prepare students for higher education and placement?

We regularly guide and counsel them for various higher education courses they can pursue post finishing their graduation. And several articles are published by industry experts on our career portal to give an insight to students about the expectations of corporate people, actual interview process and tips and tricks they can use to crack it. 

How do you prepare your students to cope up with the outside world competition?

For the purpose of preparing students for this cut-throat competitive world, I try my best to create a positive competitive environment with varied lesson plans. In addition to this, I never forget to appreciate their smallest of achievements and rewards are also given to them when they achieve any milestone. Last but not the least, I regularly interact with them to know and motivate them and help them to set realistic goals and whenever possible I make my lectures fun and engaging by making it more participative. 

What challenges are you facing in uplifting the education quality of your department?

There are challenges at every step as far as improving the overall education quality of college is concerned and the very first roadblock is heterogeneity of students itself. Apart from this, organizing customized training programs and arranging unique learning opportunities for students, monitoring and managing students academic performance and progress and developing a commitment in students towards their studies are real challenges for us. 

How does your institute enhance the faculties skills and prepare them in accordance with industry standards?

I firmly believe that for an educational institution to enhance its education quality, it's of paramount importance to quickly adapt and introduce the latest technologies and technological advancements in college. Apart from this, the college's state-of-the-art facilities add to the quality of education it offers to students and the working environment it provides to teachers. Hence our institute has also established ultra modern facilities and makes the best of the latest technologies to impart knowledge, improve students skills and upskill teachers.

What do you see as your college’s greatest strengths and how it can be enhanced?

The main pillars of our college's strength is the discipline we have maintained on campus and among students, our communication skills, our leadership and their motivation along with our skills and competencies. Apart from this, everyone who is working for us and working with us understand their responsibilities properly, so it adds to our strength as we at the end are a team. Last but not the least, wise decision makers and problem-solvers of our college make us strong and resilient.

Any valuable advice which you would like to give to the students for a prosperous career ahead?

I would like to advise my dear students to seek good internship opportunities where they can utilize their learning and also develop new skills. Also work on research projects, make best use of internet resources and consider taking part in a work-study program. Grow your skills, get an early start, keep your knowledge up-to-date, stay focused and dedicated towards your goals and maintain a proper balance between your personal and professional life.
