As the Secretary of IFET, what would you say are your roles towards the students?
“Motivation and regulation of academic activities”
As the secretary of the college, my role is to make sure that the people in the college are
motivated. I ensure that every possible opportunity is undertaken to motivate the students and the faculty as well. I keep track of all the achievements that are done by the students and make sure that it is celebrated in front of the institution. I honor them for their achievements and keep motivating them to achieve more. I periodically monitor the activities and review the works that are being shared. Also, I target the students who are driven for knowledge but economic hindrances are keeping them back.
What is your strategy to achieve the vision of the institution?
“Implementing changes based on industry requirements”
Being an autonomous institution, every year review of curriculum and syllabus is done and changes are made to suit current industry needs. Steps for the introduction of courses in new technologies are also taken. A number of seats are reviewed and action is taken based on the demand pattern as well. We inculcate the best industrial practices through expert sessions and workshops for students.
How did the institution prepare itself for a shift to an online mode of education?
“Specialized faculty and online learning approaches”
The teaching faculty of IFET are highly qualified and experienced to handle online classes. Students are supplied with all reading materials in addition to interactive online sessions to clear their doubts. We are ready and prepared to conduct both online and offline classes with the least differences. We offer several online portals and programs that enhance student learning in a more interesting way.
