How does your Institute ensure a student-oriented work culture?

“Best suited atmosphere and efficient academic pedagogy”

Students are often referred to as digital natives who wish to thrive in a flexible working environment with digital technologies all over the place. The curriculum, teaching-learning methods and assessment procedures of our students are so deliberated to suit the generation's learning environment. Faculty members are also updated on the aforesaid deliberations habitually to inculcate the best of learning for our students. Exploring the role of the latest digital technologies and effectively implementing the same for the betterment of learning is the ultimate role of our institution.

How are the programs at your institute ensuring industry best practices?

“Well-equipped infrastructure and industrial events on a regular basis”

State-of-the-art machines and software are armoured with the best of infrastructure and technicians to interpret the skills of students at work. Monthly alumni lectures and interactions are organized to keep our students rationalized on the technology advancements in the field. Industry-certified training programs, workshops, internships and projects are regularly worked out for our students through an Industry-Institute Partnership Cell (IIPC)of the institution.

How does the institution ensure students receive quality education online?

“Overcoming operational challenges and assisting with resources”

The network speed, bandwidth, ping-time and latency of our internet connectivity are well-built to ensure consistent, hassle-free lectures for students. In lieu of students with poor connectivity issues, recorded lectures and solved assignments of courses are mailed to the respective student groups. Hard copies of the aforesaid content are also sent through couriers to district-wise student coordinators for reference and photocopying.

What practices have you adopted to compensate for the lack of peer-to-peer learning?

“Organizing student groups and evaluation within themselves”

Faculty members are endorsed to conduct periodical quizzes, assignments and seminars to judge student performances of their courses. Once a faculty is able to position the student performance using the aforesaid parameters; the rest is a student-driven procedure based on the aforesaid peer-to-peer learning technique. We have started grouping our students based on performances. Course instructors form groups of students using the top 5 and least 5 performances of their course. Likewise, batches of 10 students are grouped using subsequent end-to-end 5 performances. A list of assignments and activities is framed for each group of students with appropriate deadlines. Groups will internally share their solutions among themselves and with other groups. Group discussions on the solutions of assignments are regularly held during tutorial hours of respective courses. This is a new peer-to-peer learning technique put forth to blend good and average performing students of all our courses.

Tell us about the Placements at your institution?

“Advanced IT-based job opportunities for students”

We are one of the top-ranked institutes in the district as far as the placements are concerned. The tendency of placements appears to en-route more towards information and technology (IT) based companies, with skimpy opportunities for students in core companies. However, irrespective of the specialization or graduation: recruiters often look for students with good soft skills, complex problem-solving capabilities, critical thinking and flexibility at work.
