Girish Kumar Devarasetti is presently working as Student Relations Coordinator at Aditya Institute of Technology & Management, Andhra Pradesh. Having 6 Years of experience in working with the student community, and one year of working with Startup Incubation, he has served at various colleges and institutions in the region. Girish Kumar Devarasetti has a very strong approach in setting up Student Activity Center and formulating Student activities, Incubation Center and Startups.

How would you describe your leadership style?

“Coordination and discipline to lead others”

The leadership style which I follow with the students is being strict and disciplined with them, as this would help them shape their behaviour and mindset according to corporate culture in the future. I always think of all possibilities prior to giving specific tasks to faculty and students, and assign the same to a number of groups so as to ensure no failure or causality in decision making takes place. 

How do you strategize the key plans for the administration of your institute?

“Managing a strong teamwork with students and staff”

Basically, we have a team of students and faculties in the centre who are involved in making various decisions and strategies related to the student affairs in the Institute. So once we discuss the problems, then we decide the Action Plan for all the problems in the campus, according to the student’s needs and benefits. 

How does the curriculum of your Institute ensure the best practice of industry?

“Choice based learning and training programs”

The curriculum is very student friendly and dynamic. The students have the option of choosing their own subjects according to their interest among multiple subjects with each course program. The students also have an option of choosing minor and major subjects according to their future goals. Moreover, we offer them different kinds of internships in industries and hands-on workshops to provide a practical exposure to them.

What do you think should be the Institute’s top priority over the next 10 years?

“More innovative and industrial approaches”

We have plans to make the institute more student centric and focus on the Entrepreneurship and Innovation ecosystem. This will help the students in shaping better creative thinking and a way forward for this nation as well. Also, we are preparing strategies for being industry ready in accordance with the corporate requirements and conditions in the coming years. 

What do you see as your Institute’s greatest strengths?

“Strong faculty and beneficial industrial connect”

We have around 200+ faculties, all very well qualified and specialized in their subject areas. We also have concrete relations with various funding agencies across the country for potential ideas of the students. They offer several services including training and internships in various industries.
