- The Master’s program in Business Analytics will deepen student's knowledge - making them the key to the success of any organization.
- The program has four tracks, giving students the opportunity to specialize in their own area of interest:
- Optimisation of Business Processes
- Computational Intelligence
- Financial Risk Management
- Research
- During the program, students will learn all about mathematical modeling and how to apply it in practice (including at financial institutions), how to make predictions using machine learning and statistics, how to analyze data and recognize data patterns and structures, and how to build a complete decision support system as part of a group project.
- Students will also learn valuable professional skills, including scientific writing and presentation skills, as well as communication and teamwork as part of an interdisciplinary team. Finally, students will combine their business analytics knowledge with their professional skills in practice during their traineeship.

Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Academic Eligibility:
- a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited research university including at least three full years of academic study amounting to a minimum of 180 ECTS or equivalent. We do not require a GRE or GMAT test score.

For admission to the Business Analytics program, a Bachelor's degree in Business Analytics or a closely related Bachelor is required. In general, VU Amsterdam expects the following subjects to be part of your Bachelor's program:
- 90 ECTS or the equivalent of Mathematics/Econometrics/Computer Science courses at the Bachelor's level, of which:
- 45 ECTS or the equivalent of Mathematics courses at the Bachelor's level, including Probability and Statistics, and
- at least one course (6 ECTS) of programming in Java, Python, C++, or another formal programming language that covers the OOP paradigm
- 90 ECTS or the equivalent of Mathematics/Econometrics/Computer Science courses at the Bachelor's level, of which:
- A Dutch 3-year Bachelor of Science contains a total of 180 ECTS (3 x 60 ECTS). This means that in order for a student to meet the first requirement you need to have at least ~1.5 year’s worth of Mathematics/Econometrics/ Computer Science courses at the Bachelor's level.
- Having 45 ECTS of Mathematics is the minimum. If students apply with less than 45 ECTS or the equivalent of Mathematics, please explain in the motivation letter why they may still be eligible.
Indian Eligibility:
Indian students are eligible to apply if they meet the following eligibility criteria:
- VU Amsterdam requires all applicants to take an English test. Exceptions are made for students who have completed a bachelor's or master's in Canada, the USA, UK, Ireland, New Zealand, or Australia.
- TOEFL and IELTS tests must have been completed no more than two years before 1st September of the year in which your course starts.
- Note: TOEFL MyBestScore is not accepted.
- Please note that students who need a study visa must submit their English test results before 1 June.
International students hailing from non-English speaking countries also need to prove English proficiency through IELTS/TOEFL/any equivalent test to get admission to this program.
