The Bachelor's degree in Sociology is a three-year full-time programme. Each year is divided in two semesters of three blocks, which can be found in the academic calendar.
In the first two years, all students follow the same programme. In the third year, students can choose their own courses. They can find the study programme and course descriptions in our Course Catalogue.
In the first year of the sociology programme, students will have about eight hours of lectures and six hours of tutorial groups per week. The remaining time will be devoted to reading literature, doing research and writing papers and essays.

Eligibility & Entry Requirement

Academic Eligibility:

Students should have a high school degree from a recognized institution;
Students should have at least 3.0-grade points.

Indian Student Eligibility:

Indian students are eligible to apply if they meet one of the following eligibility criteria:

High school transcripts of Indian central, state, or leading deemed and private schools.
Applicants must have achieved a minimum cumulative 1st division or better in their studies.

Along with the minimum eligibility requirements, tests required to study in the Netherlands, international students hailing from non-English speaking countries need to prove English proficiency through IELTS/TOEFL/any equivalent test.
