Founded in 1973, Carl von Ossietzky University aims at finding answers to the modern-day problems with effective and efficient research and development of human resources. The university cooperates and closely works with 200 other universities preparing over 15,000 students for professional life. The university is among the youngest universities in Germany.
The university has a total enrollment of 15,899 students including around 1,209 international students representing more than 50 countries.
