There are zero tuition fees for all students at TUM. However, all the students are entitled to pay a semester fee of 147.40€ ( 154.39 USD) which includes Student Union fees and the basic semester ticket for public transportation in Munich.

Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Students should have a Bachelor’s degree from recognized institutions or universities.
Applicants with a Degree from Bangladesh, China, India, Iran, or Pakistan will have to submit a GRE (General) Test. Technical University Munich has defined required minimum scores, lower scores will not be accepted!
- The required scores are:
- Verbal reasoning: (will not be taken into account anymore)
- Quantitative reasoning: 157
- Analytical writing: 3.5
- The Institution Code: 7806, Department: 5199 ("all other departments").
The admission is done through a 2-level aptitude assessment procedure. In a first step, the grades of the Bachelor’s program as well as the written documents are evaluated using a point system. Depending on the number of points accumulated, applicants are either directly admitted, rejected or they enter level 2 and are invited to an interview.
Alternatively, students can submit a scorecard of the Indian GATE test (Computer Science; for M.Sc. CSE the Mechanical Engineering Test will also be accepted). The minimal qualifying score of the respective year is necessary.

To apply for the MS Automotive Engineering program of TUM, you must have completed a bachelor's degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field from a recognized university. You must demonstrate proficiency in English through a recognized language test such as TOEFL, IELTS, or equivalent. Submission of GRE score is necessary for admission in this program.
To apply for the Master in Renewable Energy program of TUM you must have a bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as engineering, natural sciences, or mathematics, with a minimum GPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale. Along with this you must also have a valid ELP test score. GRE score is not optional but preferred.
