The master's program focuses primarily on the professional, methodical and legal training of future food chemists.
The graduates are able to solve food chemistry problems independently and creatively and to deal with and evaluate new types of questions in a professionally competent manner.
In order to achieve this goal, the student got to know the theoretical basics and complex experimental methods in the individual sub-disciplines.
The study plan touches on many interdisciplinary aspects that are part of the everyday life of an independent and team-working food chemist. Since the methods and procedures, but also the areas of activity in science and industry are constantly changing,

Following are the admission requirements for this program:

Degree in the Bachelor's degree in Food Chemistry from the University of Hamburg or a comparable degree
In special cases, admission is also possible for a different Bachelor's degree and food chemistry-related services (e.g. professional experience).
