Hochschule Ansbach or the Ansbach University of Applied Science was founded in 1996. It is a public not-for-profit institution situated in Central Bavaria, in the city of Ansbach. This 24-year old establishment is known for its 15 bachelor degree programmes, 12 masters’ programmes and applied research.
A fairly young university, the lower class size helps students recognize their abilities and channelize their talent in a creative setting. Campus
- The campus of Ansbach University is such that it provides access to many small and medium-sized shops and supermarkets in and around the city center.
- There are specialty food stores for different nationalities as well.
- Media students have high-tech modern equipment in their laboratories, including 3-D lab, Photo, Recording and TV studio.
- The University library offers free of cost access to literature journals, DVDs, e-journals, separate workstations and Wi-Fi to access information databases.
- International students are helped with various languages like German, Spanish, French, etc and offered tutorials and classes for the same.
Residence
- There are four residence halls inside the campus and over 200 fully furnished single, double and group apartments with private bathrooms, store room, common room, and a mini kitchen.
- Disabled-friendly apartments with wheelchairs are also available.
- Exchange students have lived in the Students’ Hall of Residence for up to two semesters with the approval of the International Office.
- Solar energy and rainwater is conserved for bathroom and WC purposes and common parking space is available facing the Residence Hall.
- Other than university accommodation, there are other housing options in Germany
- Private flats are available at low costs off-campus in and around Ansbach. Studio flats are also rented as single or on a sharing basis.
- The cafeteria of the University offers scrumptious meals three times a day. It comprises three floor- ground floor, dining hall and terrace; making it a popular hub among the students.
Programs
- UG and PG degree programs at Ansbach University are offered across a variety of fields.
- There are many bachelor programs with 15 Majors like Biomedical Engineering, Industrial Biotechnology, etc. Minors and elective subjects are found within many courses.
- Twelve Master’s Degrees are offered by the university on subjects such as Digital Marketing, Innovation and Entrepreneurship, etc.
- Two Master of Business Administration (MBA) courses are offered by the university in Creative Management and Leadership.
- Prior work experience is necessary.
- Both of the above degrees are extra-occupational pathway courses and can be done while working full-time at a job
- Applied Plastics Technology and Intercultural Management are part-time courses which help students work simultaneously while getting a degree.
- Dual study opportunities are provided for undergraduates to complete their course of study with one of the 20 other universities enlisted.
- Language courses are also offered in the University such as Italian, Spanish and French.
