- Mechanical engineering is one of the classic fields of education in the engineering disciplines. The mechanical engineer has tasks in all areas of research, planning, development, construction, production of machines and technical aggregates as well as complete production plants. It is not unusual for mechanical engineers to take on tasks in the areas of sales and operations management.
- A high proportion of mechanical engineers can also be found in the public sector. Furthermore, freelance activities are offered, e.g. as an expert witness. With the help of additional training, activities such as a patent attorney, patent assessor or industrial engineer are also possible.
