It accepts international applicants, given that they have completed Secondary Education with College Preparatory curriculum, fulfilled the minimum grade point equivalency, provided required official academic records, and met the appropriate deadlines to study in Germany.

Admission Requirements: International applicants have to satisfy the following requirements to be eligible for DIT admissions-

Language Requirements for International Students

Deggendorf Institute of Technology has made it mandatory for all international applicants to submit a language certificate. This certificate is imperative for its both the campuses admissions i.e. Deggendorf campus and European campus Rottal-Inn. The Language Certificate must be produced before the deadlines given, otherwise it might result in revocation of the enrolment.

  • For the Deggendorf Campus, German Language Proficiency or GLP is mandatory along with the ELP Test Scores.
  • For European Campus Rottal-Inn, GLP up to B2 level is required for the preparation of German Internship.

GLP up to B2 level is required for the preparation of German Internship, while for programs that are taught in English, international students need to submit scores of one of the tests mentioned below:

Visa Process for International Students

Applicants coming from Australia, Canada, Israel, Japan, New Zealand, South Korea, or the United States can enter Germany without a visa. And if they stay in the country for more than three months, they can apply in Germany for the residence permit. The same applies to students from Andorra, Brazil, El Salvador, Honduras, Monaco, and San Marino. They may enter without a visa if they do not intend to subsequently work in Germany.

Entering Germany with a Visa:

If you need a visa, you must apply for it in your home country in good time. Applications for a student visa to study in Germany must be made to the German diplomatic missions abroad (embassies or consulates-general). Depending on the duration of and reason for your visit you may be issued with a Schengen Visa or a National Visa.

  • The Schengen Visa is valid for a short visit of up to three months for holidays, language courses, and business trips, and cannot be extended.
  • The National Visa or the Student Visa is intended for longer study visits.

    • Fixed deposit statements or open a “blocked account”. The blocked account provided by Fintiba is accepted by German embassies/consulates all around the world.
  • A proof of health insurance– for the entire period of stay in Germany
  • A valid passport (with at least three additional months from the return date and not older than 10 years, with at least two empty visa pages)
