The Berlin School of Economics and Law is a state-funded public Institute for higher education and research. The institute was established in April 2009 by merging two previously existing Institutes University of Applied Sciences for Business Berlin( FHW) and The University of Applied Sciences for Administration and Justice Berlin ( FHVR).
HWR Berlin is the largest provider of dual degree programs and cooperates with over 700 companies. Berlin School of Economics and Law offers close to 55-degree programs including Bachelor’s, Master's, and MBA level in the fields of Business, Law, Management, Finance and Engineering.
The school has 14 Research Institutes, 179 international partner universities, and 700 partner companies making it one of the most premier Institutes of Berlin. It is internationally accredited by EPAS, AMBA and NIBS. The Institute has over 11,000 students and welcomes international students worldwide.

Berlin School of Economics and Law Campus
- The institute has two campuses, one is Schöneberg campus and another one is Lichtenberg campus.
- Schöneberg campus is the central campus of the Berlin School of Economics and Law. This campus has five buildings.
- Lichtenberg campus of the Berlin School of Economics and Law is the education and administration complex.

Berlin School of Economics and Law Residence
- The Institute doesn't possess its on-campus accommodation facility however the BSEL international office provides its international students limited off-campus residence halls or accommodations managedby the university.
- These accommodations are provided by either Studentendorf Schlachtensee or Studentenwerk Berlin.
- The Studentendorf Schlachtensee is a student dormitory system which offers shared flats and small apartments.
- It is located in the South-west of Berlin in an international and multicultural campus. Deposit of 500 Euro or 650 Euro is required depending upon the room category at the time of entering into a contract.
- A fully furnished room can cost almost 200 Euro to 270 Euro, each month.

Berlin School of Economics and Law provides financial aid in the forms of scholarships or awards to those students who have exceptionally meritorious academic record and also have financial burden.

Deutschlandstipendium of the HWR Berlin offers 300 Euros per month to undergraduate or graduate students who aretalented, committed and show academic excellence.
The DAAD prize for outstanding achievements is awarded to international students with an amount of 1000 Euros and a DAAD certificate.
