WB JECA Instructions to Candidates
- The Board neither informs nor communicates the result to any individual applicant. It does not have any provision for post-publication scrutiny and/ or review and hence the Board will not entertain any such request after the examination.

WB JECA 2023 Seat Allotment
- A separate notification with details of counseling/seat allotment and admission will be published shortly after the publication of result on the official website.

- If the candidate does not fulfill the eligibility criteria, then his/her allotment can be canceled at any stage at the time of verification.
- Candidates belonging to states other than West Bengal are not considered for admission to Government Engineering colleges.
- Reservation of seats for the Reserved category (SC / ST / PWD / OBC (A) / OBC (B) ) is applicable to the candidates of the State of West Bengal only. SC / ST / PWD / OBC (A) / OBC (B) candidates of other states cannot avail of this facility.
- For Government and Government aided Engineering & Technological Colleges, the reservation of seats for SC / ST / PWD / OBC (A) / OBC (B) candidates is as per Government Rules.
- For Universities / University Departments reservation rules in case of SC / ST / PWD / OBC (A) / OBC (B) candidates of the concerned Universities are followed.
- The appearance of rank in the counseling schedule does not guarantee a seat in any University/Institute. Counseling for allotment of seats is stopped as soon as the last vacant seat is filled up and no further queries in this regard are entertained.
- The claim of a candidate to exercise option is limited to the vacancies prevalent at that instant when his/her turn comes for appearing before the counseling officials.
- The option has to be exercised at the time of counseling. Once the allotment of a seat in any University/Institute is done, no further change of the University/Institute is entertained.
- No refund of the counseling fee is admissible.
- Candidates are required to take admission to the allotted University/institute within five days from the date of allotment.
