NEET MDS 2021 (National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test) is conducted for admissions to MDS Courses. National Board Of examinations will be conducting this exam every year under the Dentists Act 1948. It is a single-window exam for Dental PG courses. Whoever wants to go for postgraduate studies in the dental field has to qualify this examination. Then only he/she will get a chance to study at several dental colleges situated all over India. This year the exams will be conducted on December 16, 2020

NEET MDS 2021 Results
In order to be eligible for post graduate dental courses in a particular academic year, then it is necessary for a candidate to score a minimum of 50% marks in NEET MDS in that particular year. However, for a Scheduled caste/ Scheduled Tribe or Other backward caste candidate, needs a minimum of only 40% of the total score in that exam.
For those candidates who have locomotor disability of lower limbs have to secure 45% in the qualifying exam so as to consider for admission.

Results will be declared in NEET MDS website. A separate merit list for the categories of ‘PG in AFMS Institutions’ and ‘Grant of Short Service Commission in Army Dental Corps’ shall be provided to the Directorate General of Dental services for admission to Armed Forces institutions.
- The exam results will be announced in the second week of January 2021
- The validity of the scorecard of NEET MDS 2021 is one year.
- There is no reservation of seats for OBC/SC/ST/PH candidates in Armed force medical colleges. Other than AFMC other colleges have provisions for reservation.
- If both candidates have scored the same marks, then the merit list will be based on their age that is the person with higher age will get more preference over the younger.
- For every candidate percentage rank as well as a percentile rank will be there.
- Percentile rank shows how well a candidate did in the exam compared to other candidates.
- While percentage rank shows how well that candidate performed in the exam.
- Different types of merit lists will be published. Which includes “All India NEET MDS rank “ALL India 50% quota rank”, “All India 50% quota Category Rank” and “State quota/ Private Dental colleges/Deemed University/AFMS rank”.
NEET MDS 2021 Counselling Process
Candidates can participate in the Counselling for Admission to State quota MDS seats and/or seats in Private Universities/Colleges/Institutes based on their choice and fulfillment of eligibility criteria, domicile, etc. Counseling starts soon after the results are announced. Counseling is done separately to the admissions to the All India 50% Quota Seats, State seats,” private dental colleges, institutes, universities, deemed university seats and to armed force medical college seats.
