Admissions Through NEET MDS Counselling 2023
NEET MDS Counselling 2023 will be held for admissions of the following:
- All India 50% Quota Seats – Counselling for all India reserved category candidates will be conducted by the Medical Counseling Committee (MCC) of the Directorate General of Health Services, Government of India, which is solely based on the NEET MDS Result.
- State Quota Seats – Reservation of NEET MDS seats in states of India will be taken care of by designated Counselling authority of the respective States/Union Territories. They will be responsible for conducting counselling sessions under State Quota based on the results of NEET MDS. The counselling committee will consider eligibility criteria, applicable regulations, guidelines and applicable reservation policies while allocating seats under this category.
- Admission to Private Dental Colleges, Institutes, Universities, Deemed Universities – Seats for NEET MDS 2023 will be allotted to candidates under this category via counselling sessions conducted by the designated counselling authority of these Private Colleges/Institutes/Universities/ Deemed Universities on the basis of NEET MDS scores. Applicable Regulations, eligibility criteria, reservation policy, etc. will also be adhered to while allotting seats.
- Admission to Armed Forces Medical Service Institutions – Counselling for admissions to Armed Forces Medical Service Institution is conducted by The Army Dental Corps, Ministry of Defense, Government of India based on NEET-MDS
NEET MDS Counselling 2023 Procedure
The counselling will be conducted separately for each category. The procedure for counselling is as follows:
Step 1: Registration
- Register on the website of the counselling authority.
- The links and necessary information will be provided on the NBE website
- Enter the relevant details like NEET MDS Registration Number, Name, Date of Birth, Gender, etc for completing NEET MDS Registration
- Candidates will be issued a new username and password
Step 2: Filling the Counselling Form
- Login in using the credentials to select the college of their choice
- Candidates can select the preferred college of choice from the list of available choices
- Once satisfied, candidates will have to lock their selection
- Candidates can make multiple edits before submission. Once submitted, candidates will not be able to make any changes after locking
- If candidates do not lock their selections, then the selected college will be allotted to them
- The board / designated authority will review the applications and allot the seats based on the merit list
- An allotment letter will be sent to the candidate via email and post
- Once the seat is allotted, candidates will have to attend NEET MDS Counselling at the scheduled time and venue for document verification
Step 3: Payment of Fees
- Candidates can pay the admission fees and block the seat allotted to them.
- Here the registration fees that you will pay during the time of filling the online form for counselling will be non-refundable.

NEET MDS Counselling Round 2
- NEET MDS 2023 counselling round 2 will be conducted after the conclusion of the round 1 counselling.
- If a candidate is not satisfied with the seat or college allotted to him and wishes to upgrade the same then such candidates can fill fresh choices in round two choice filling.
- However, if a candidate does not wish to upgrade his seat which is allotted to him in Round 1 and there is not to apply for round 2 counselling. Such candidates will be required to confirm their seats and complete the admission process.
NEET MDS Counselling Mop-Up Round
- The last round i.e. Mop Up round of counselling will only be conducted if seats are left vacant after the completion of round 2 counselling.
NEET MDS 2023 Selection Procedure
If candidate belongs to general category, 50% is the minimum qualifying score whereas for OBC/SC/ST, candidates have to score 40% marks in order be at par in the selection criteria as per NBE. List of documents required at NEET MDS Counselling 2023
All the qualified candidates are required to carry the following original documents:
- NEET MDS 2023 scorecard
- NEET MDS 2023 Admit Card
- Mark sheet of BDS 1st, 2nd and 3rd year examinations
- Qualifying examination certificate, that is, BDS Degree Certificate
- Permanent or provisional certificate provided by DCI/Dental Council
- Internship completion certificate issued from the Head of the Institution
- 10th standard certificate as proof of birth
- Valid Government Identity proofs (Driving License/ PAN Card/Voter ID/Passport or Aadhar Card)
- Physically handicap medical certificate, if required.
- SC/ST/OBC certificate, if required
NEET MDS 2023 Seat Allotment
Candidates fill preferences based on seats available. NEET MDS Seat Allotment result is published in the form of a list including the name, allotted college, All India Rank, Remarks, and candidate category. Selected students will be required to download the allotment letter of NEET MDS 2023. It is mandatory to carry the allotment letter along with the list of documents at the allotted institute to complete the admission process.
