Course 1: Bachelor of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry (B.Sc in 

  • Specializations- Veterinary Anatomy, Pharmacology & Toxicology, Parasitology, Physiology Microbiology, Public Health & Epidemiology, Pathology, Animal Nutrition, Livestock Production Management, Animal Genetic & Breeding, Livestock Products Technology, Gynaecology & Obstetrics, Animal Reproduction, Animal Husbandry Extension Education.
  • Duration- 5 years
  • Eligibility- Candidates must have completed 10+2 with 50% in Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English
  • Selection Criteria- Selection is done based on merit scored in NEET-UG/ MHT-CET

Course 2: Master of Veterinary Science (M.Sc)

  • Specializations- Veterinary Anatomy, Pharmacology & Toxicology, Physiology, Parasitology, Pathology, Microbiology, Public Health & Epidemiology, , Animal Genetic & Breeding, Animal Nutrition, Livestock Production Management, Gynaecology & Obstetrics, Livestock Products Technology, Animal Reproduction, Animal Husbandry Extension Education.

  • Eligibility- Candidates must have completed B.V.Sc. & A.H with 50% 
  • Selection Criteria- Selection is done based on merit scored in NEET-PGMHT-CET

Course 3: Master of Science (M.Sc)

  • Specializations- Animal Husbandry Extension Education, Veterinary Pharmacology & Toxicology, Veterinary Surgery & Radiology
  • Duration- 2 year
  • Eligibility- Candidates must have completed B.Sc. in a relevant field with 45% or B.V.Sc. & A.H 
  • Selection Criteria- Selection is done based on merit scored in ICAR-AIEEA followed by counseling

Course 4: Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.)

  • Specializations- Veterinary Parasitology, Veterinary Surgery & Radiology, Livestock Products Technology, Veterinary Preventive Medicine, Animal Reproduction Gynaecology & Obstetrics, Livestock Production And Management, Veterinary Microbiology, Veterinary Anatomy & Histology, Veterinary Pharmacology & Toxicology

NVC Nagpur Admission

Admission to all the courses is granted based on the performance in the entrance tests mentioned above followed by counseling. Candidates have to apply online on the official site of MAFSU. The merit list will be published on the University website.

Application Procedure:

  • Download the prospectus and the application form available at the official university website of MAFSU
  • To apply online, candidates are required to visit the official website
  • Go to the “Apply online” section. 
  • Fill in all the required details and upload documents, photograph, and signature
  • Click on the “Submit” button
  • Pay the application fee of INR. 600 (INR. 300 in case of SC/ST/OBC) online through Net Banking or Credit / Debit Card
  • All Category Candidates (including reserved & unreserved) from states other than Maharashtra have to pay the application fee of INR. 600

NVC Nagpur Facilities

Outdoor sports- For outdoor sports, the college is equipped with a good playground area. There are games like Cricket, Volleyball, Kabaddi, and Kho-Kho which can be played on the main playground premises. The college premises also have two Badminton courts and a Basketball court

Hostel- Nagpur Veterinary College has a separate hostel for U.G and P.G. students. There are separate hostels for boys and girls. All the rooms in the hostel are well ventilated, aerated, and furnished. The hostels have 24 hours electricity and water supply. Facilities like water coolers with aqua guard filters, refrigerators, and Geyser facilities are also available. 

Medical hospital- The Teaching Veterinary Clinical Complex under Nagpur Veterinary College was established with the Central Assistance Funding from the ICAR New Delhi. The establishment of this Veterinary Hospital in the college has fulfilled a long-felt need of NVC which did not have a Veterinary Hospital of its own. The hospital has gained good popularity and cases from nearby districts are also referred here.

Ans: Yes, NEET UG and NEET PG are mandatory examinations on the basis of which admission is provided to candidates.
