DDE LNMU MA Course Details

The 2 year MA program has been divided into 4 semesters. Two-semester examinations take place each year in June and December.

  • The directorate of distance education follows a credit system for all the courses.
  • Each credit in the LNMU distance education program is equivalent to 30 hours of student study comprising all activities including reading, comprehending the study material, attending counseling classes, and writing assignment responses.
  • A four-credit course involves 120 hours of study which has to be completed by the learner to complete the line MA distance education program.
  • To complete a program successfully it is necessary to complete assignments, practicals, projects, and term-end examinations in each program.
  • Self-assessment exercises are given within each study material.
  • In each subject, candidates will be evaluated in 16 papers, each paper will have 100 weightage.
  • The examination will be conducted in two parts. The students will be evaluated in 8 papers in each year of examination, each paper carrying 100% weightage.
  • 70% weightage will be given to the written examination and 30% weightage will be given to assignments.
  • Each specialization in the MA program has 64 credits.
