Directorate of Distance Education, LNMU offers Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) course through Distance mode. The duration of this program is 2 years and seat intake is 500.

Application to DDE, LMNU can be made in both online and offline mode. Candidates can download the form and submit it offline by paying an application fee of INR 1000 through the Challan of Central bank. Form submission will be start from February 1 and last date of submission of application form will be March 2. 

DDE, LNMU requires candidates to secure at least 50% marks in the last qualifying examination as basic eligibility. However, the selection of candidates will be based on their performance in the Common Entrance Test.

Lalit Narayan Mithila University Distance Education B.Ed. Eligibility Criteria

Eligibility criteria is set up by the university. The set-up eligibility is as follows:

• Candidates having 50% marks in graduation/post-graduation.
• Untrained teacher.
• Trained in-service teachers in Elementary education.
• Candidate who has completed a NCTE recognized teacher education program through face-to-face mode.

Lalit Narayan Mithila University Distance Education B.Ed Selection Process

Selection of candidates will be based on their performance in Common Entrance Test (CET). It consists of 120 objective type questions carrying one mark each. Complete duration of test is 2 hours. Standard of questions will be based in the curriculum of classes prescribed by the NCERT/CBSE. The exam is divided into 5 sections such as:

Documents required at time of Admission

Documents are only to be submitted after receiving letter of offer for admission to B.Ed after the entrance test. The documents are as follows:

• Secondary/Sr. Secondary/Higher Secondary School Certificate indicating the date of birth, along with Mark sheet
• Degree and Mark sheet of Graduate/Post-graduation
• Category certificate, if applicable
• Experience certificate and letter of appointment of a recognized school
• Certificate to prove facilities for conducting B.Ed. practical's from Secondary/Higher/Sr. Secondary School in the format given in the prospectus
• No objection certificate from the Head Master
• Letter of Recognition from the concerned Board
• Salary Statement (Bank statement)
