Selection of candidates for M.Tech is done on the basis of their GATE score or rank obtained in AP-PGECET exam.

• Only after the exhaustion of the GATE rank holding candidates list, students who have appeared in the AP-PGECET exam are considered for admission.
• GATE is an online computer-based exam with the time duration of 3 hours. The paper consists of multiple choice questions and numerical answer type questions.
• AP-PGECET is a state level exam which is conducted by the Andhra University, Visakhapatnam, in lieu of the A.P. State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE).
• AP-PGECET consists of only multiple choice questions with the time duration of 2 hours.
