University College of Engineering, JNTUK, offers full-time B.Tech course at the undergraduate level. The intake capacity for each specialization, except Metallurgical Engineering and Civil Engineering, is 60. In case of Metallurgical Engineering and Civil Engineering, there are 30 seats in each specialization.

The minimum required eligibility criterion for B.Tech is minimum 50% marks in 10+2 exam, or any of its equivalent exam as recognized by the JNTUK, along with Physics, Chemistry and Math as compulsory subjects in 10+2. The rank acquired by the students in AP-EAMCET exams are considered for admission to B.Tech.

The minimum eligibility criterion for M.Tech is the candidates should possess B.E./B.Tech degree from any recognized university or a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technology in the concerned discipline. Selection of candidates for M.Tech is done on the basis of their GATE score or rank obtained in AP-PGECET exam.

• Only after the exhaustion of the GATE rank holding candidates list, students who have appeared in the AP-PGECET exam are considered for admission.
• GATE is an online computer-based exam with the time duration of 3 hours. The paper consists of multiple choice questions and numerical answer type questions.
• AP-PGECET is a state level exam which is conducted by the Andhra University, Visakhapatnam, in lieu of the A.P. State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE).
• AP-PGECET consists of only multiple choice questions with the time duration of 2 hours.

University College of Engineering, JNTUK, Vizianagaram offers full time MCA course in Post Graduate level. Total number of seats available for MCA is 30. For admission to MCA, the candidate must hold BCA degree from any recognized college or university, as the minimum eligibility criterion. Candidates are selected on the basis of the rank they hold in AP-ICET exam.

• AP-ICET is a state level entrance exam conducted by the Andhra University, Visakhapatnam in lieu of the Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE).
• It is a 2.5 hours exam consisting of 200 multiple choice questions.
• The paper is divided into three sections, Mathematical Ability, Analytic Ability, and Communication Ability.
• Mathematical Ability and Analytic Ability sections have 75 questions each and the Communication Ability section has 50 questions.
