Annamalai University Directorate of Distance Education was established in the year 1979 in the state of Tamil Nadu. At present, the University has 49 departments under 10 faculties. Annamalai University Directorate of Distance Education (DDE) is one of the few Indian Institutes with all faculties under one roof. There are more than 500 courses that are currently being offered under the distance education program, which range from certificate courses to diploma, undergraduate to post-graduate courses and so on.
