St.Peter's University is a Deemed-to-be University established in 2008 was earlier functioning as St. Peter's Engineering College which was established in the year 1993 and affiliated to JNTU, Hyderabad.

St Peter's Engineering College also offers Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) in five specializations Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Civil Engineering for a duration of four years.

Intake capacity depends upon the nature of specializations as opted by the candidates.

Admission in the above mentioned specializations is done on the basis of marks scored in entrance exam conducted by the university. However, candidate must have passed 10+2 level or equivalent with Maths, Physics and Chemistry. Failing to meet the eligibility criteria will lead to elimination of the candidate from the admission process.

At postgraduate level, St Peter's Engineering College offers Master of Technology (M.Tech) in Electrical Power Systems. The course is offered for a duration period of two years. The total number of seats available for admission depends upon the college.
