Candidates wishing to apply for M. Tech in Computer Network Engineering need to meet the following minimum eligibility criteria:
Additionally, aspiring eligible candidates are also needed to appear for and qualify at least one of the relevant entrance exams such as GATE (EC or CS), PGCET etc.
Admission to the course follows no centralized procedure. Eligible candidates are required to qualify the relevant entrance examination followed by a round of group discussion. Subsequently, qualifying candidates would need to go through additional rounds of personal interview as the final stage in the process of selection. GATE (Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering) is one of the main entrance exams held in India for admission to the course
Institutes offering the course in India prefer applicants with an eligible GATE score. A few institutes may have their own admission tests in place but preference is always given to GATE- qualified applicants.
Written Tests - This test is conducted for candidates who have not appeared for/ qualified the GATE Exam, and are yet eligible to apply for the course. Generally, institutes offering the course do not have any written tests as part of their admission processes.
Interviews - This round assesses the candidates’ technical skills, basics and concepts in the subject. Most colleges conduct interview sessions.
The curriculum of M. Tech in Computer Network Engineering is built within a structured environment to develop in enrolled students an advanced, critical understanding of relevant modern theories associated with the discipline. Areas of focus include expertise in networking technologies and applications in a wide range of contexts, preparing students for employment in the network industry.
