DSCE B.E./ B.Tech. Eligibility Criteria

• Candidates must have passed out in PUC/ CBSE/ ICSE/ 10+2, or equivalent examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects.
• Minimum of 45% marks aggregate in Physics, Mathematics and any one of the optional subjects out of Chemistry/ Biology/ Biotechnology/ Computer Science/ Electronics.
• Candidates must have to pass entrance examinations such as CET or COMMED-K conducted by the Government of Karnataka.

DSCE B.E./ B.Tech Selection Criteria

• Selection of candidates will be based on the numbers scored in entrance exams such as CET or COMMED-K.
• The students with meritorious ranking are considered after a counseling process.

Candidates who are seeking admission in M. Tech., need to know and fulfill the following criteria:

DSCE M.Tech. Eligibility Criteria

• Candidates should have passed in B.E./ B.Tech. or any other equivalent examination with a minimum of 50% marks .

• For admission in the M.Tech. programme at DSCE , one should qualify the written entrance test conducted by VTU.

• Admission in M.Tech. at DSCE, can also be done through PGCET/ GATE score.

DSCE M.Tech. Selection Criteria

• Admission will be held on the basis of rank list depending upon score obtained in written examination and through single window counseling process .
• Candidates having valid GATE score will be given first preference for the selection of seats throughout the counseling process, then university rank holders.

For admission to PG Course particularly in MBA programmes from DSCE , candidates should have following information and satisfy all the criteria.

DSCE MBA Eligibility Criteria

• They should have passed the prescribed qualifying examination with a minimum of 50% marks in Bachelor Degree program .
• For SC/ ST candidates the minimum qualifying marks should be 45% marks in prescribed qualifying examination.
• Candidates must have to qualify the CAT examination with a good score.
• PGCET score is must for students of Government Quota.

DSCE MBA Selection Criteria

Students who have successfully attempted PGCET, MAT, CAT or KMAT are eligible based on merit into the program and are selected based on the ranks secured by them in these entrance exams.

The MCA programme from DSCE focuses on IT requirements of the industry and trains students in various skills related to this field.

DSCE MCA Eligibility Criteria

• They should have passed the prescribed qualifying examination with a minimum of 50% marks in Bachelor Degree program .
• For SC/ ST candidates the minimum qualifying marks should be 45% marks in prescribed qualifying examination.
• Mathematics and Computer Science should have been the compulsory subjects taken by the students.

DSCE MCA Selection Criteria

Students are selected on the basis of marks obtained by them in the qualifying examination.

DSCE Ph.D./ M.Sc. Engineering Eligibility Criteria

• For Ph.D. Program, Candidates must have a Master's degree in Engineering from any recognized university or any other equivalent degree. Candidates must have gone through a written entrance test ULRAT.

• For M.Sc. Engineering Candidates must have Bachelor Degree in respective field or equivalent degree from any recognized university. 
• For M.Sc. Engineering, Candidates must have to go through a synopsis selection, i.e. an entrance test called ULRAT.

DSCE Ph.D./ M.Sc. Engineering Selection Criteria

Admission will be held in both the programs on the basis of marks scored in the written test of ULRAT followed by an interview process conducted by VTU.
