University Institute of Technology (UIT RGPV) was established in 1986 by the Government of Madhya Pradesh. as Government Engineering College (GEC), Bhopal. The college is affiliated to RGPV.

A candidate seeking admission to B.E, must have passed the 10+2 examination from a recognized board with Physics & Mathematics as main subjects along with either Chemistry, Biotechnology or Biology as the third subject with at least 45% marks in aggregate.
Students have to qualify JEE Main in order to secure admission in B.Tech program.
A B.E/B.Tech degree in the relevant discipline is required for the M.Tech program.
Admission in ME course is done on the basis of valid GATE Score. If the GATE qualified candidates are not available then the admission is on the basis of marks obtained in the qualifying examination.

UIT RGPV, Bhopal Reservation Criteria 2022

The Institute follows the reservation policy of the Technical Education & Skill Development Department, Government of MP. As per the present policy, 90% seats are available for candidates having domicile of MP and 5% seats are reserved for All India and NRI candidates.
UNDER the category of MP Domicile, 20, 16 and 14% seats are reserved for candidates belonging to ST, SC and OBC (excluding creamy layer) respectively.
3% seats are reserved for candidates belonging to the Physically Handicapped class.
Apart from this 5% supernumerary seats are available under Tuition Fee Waiver (TFW) scheme of AICTE. Further one seat each is reserved for J&K Migrants and J&K Resident category.

UIT RGPV, Bhopal Scholarship: It is administered by the Indian Council for Cultural Relations, Government of India. Scholarship holders are directly nominated by ICCR to the Institute. These students must also satisfy the eligibility criteria for admission under foreign nationals.

From 2013 onwards, UIT RGPV and other state engineering colleges of MP are offering admission based on JEE Main ranking. The procedure includes filling up the online counseling form with the scores of JEE Main and fill up the list of preferences of the colleges.

If you wish to avail of the state quota, then you need to get a state domicile. Otherwise, you will be allotted an All India quota. Multiple rounds of counseling will be held, if you are not satisfied with the first round, you can go for further rounds.
