About MGM
Mahatma Gandhi Memorial College was founded in the year 1949. It was established by the late Dr. T.M.A. Pai, architect of modern Manipal. MGM is one of the largest and the most respected colleges in the Karnataka. MGM offers with Arts, Science and Commerce programs in the district. The college has state of the infrastructure with all essential facilities at the campus. The college offers with PG, Degree and Diploma courses in the above respective fields to the students. In addition it also offers with UGC sponsored certificate & diploma in career oriented programs. The faculty of the institute is experienced and qualified in their respective filed.

The library of college is well stocked and has a reading room it is in an area of about 13,037 Sq. ft (carpet area). It has more than 74000 books in different language about 125 magazines, 25 periodicals and subscribed to about 10 dailies. |

The college has a well equipped computer centre. It has about 150 computers, scanners, laptops LCD with latest software. 15 computers have broadband connection. |

Scholarship |
The college also gives scholarships to the students. It gives number of scholarships like Fee concessions to the students whose parents income is below Rs. 11,000/- per year, Govt. of India National Merit & Loan scholarships, Scholarships to BCT/BCM /SC /BT/ST / Special Groups and Physically Challenged and many more. Students have to fill a form to get the scholarships. |
