Total amount of fees is nineteen lakh fifty thousand rupees. Where during first year i paid eleven lakh rupees and during second year i paid remaining eight lakh fifty thousand rupees only. admission fee- 50,000 academic fees- 18,80,000 alumini fee- 8,000 caution deposit- 15,000
In year 1, admission fees of ₹50,000, academic fees of ₹10,30,000, alumni fees of ₹8,000, caution deposit (refundable) of ₹15,000 is supposed to be paid which totals up to ₹11,03,000. In year 2, academic fees of ₹8,50,000 is supposed to be paid. The total for the 2 years comes out to be ₹19,53,000. But female candidates in our batch got a 25% rebate on this fee. This fee is higher than some bschools such as FMS and lower than others such XLRI. Some other general expenses include personal daily use items, eating out, leisure activities, shopping, travelling etc. Fee waiver scholarships are available for students. First one is the for all female candidates that they get 25% rebate. Second one is academically excellent students who are chosen for a rebate on tuition fee. Third one is for EWS students. Around 40% of the population being female candidates, all get the 25% rebate and apart from that about 10-15 students get other scholarships.
-12.23 lakhs in the first year(Admission Fees 50k, Academic Fees - 11.5 Lakhs, Alumni Fees 8k, Caution Deposit-15k) -9.3 lakhs in the second year(Academic Fees). -21.53 lakhs for the entire duration. -In the similar league of colleges, this fees is on the slightly lower side as most of the similar colleges charge above this for the entire duration like the newer IIM's and NMIMS, Symbiosis. - Eating out, travelling to nearby locations on weekends, partying over couple of weekends comprise the major expense apart from the fees paid. - No difference in fees based on caste. But female students do get 25% scholarship in their total fees. This is done to promote diversity in batch promoting more femnale students to apply for the college. - Female students do get 25% scholarship(Smt Leela Nath Memorial scholarship). Apart from this there is a scholarship given to few students who excel in their academics and come from not so stable financial background. TFW waiver scheme: Candidates eligible and shortlisted for the Tuition Fee Waiver (TFW) scheme will not be required to pay the academic fee component as they will get a 100% academic fee waiver. They will, however, have to pay all other components of the fees.
Fees is approximately 22 lacs where 12 lacs need to be paid in the first year itself. I believe it's the same as compared to other top B-schools in India. Also the college provides scholarships for students who scored more that 98 percentile in CAT.
The total fee I'll pay for the two years is around 21.5L. The fees of other colleges are more or less similar. Expense that most students, especially CDL boys, incur include the auto ride between CDL and the main campus. Yes, the college provides Scholarships to students with high scores in CAT/XAT. Also, the college provides Scholarships to girls as well.
Overall fees for Male Students is around 21L, with 12L worth of payments having already been made. 9L is pending which will be collected in the 2nd Yr. Under a scholarship program for women, female students get a rebate of 25% at the end of the MBA Program. For the DCP Program which involves a year in the Dubai Campus of IMT, students pay close to the tune of 30L across the 2 yrs with female students in this scenario as well getting a 25% rebate at the end of the 2 yr program. I feel these fees are quite good as it is all inclusive and colleges which would even rank slightly lower like KJSIM were charging 25-26L across 2 yrs. I am not aware of whether the fees vary for different sections of society as I have no knowledge of the same.
The fees for a female candidate at IMT is around 17 lakhs which includes everything like mess, tuition, hostel fees etc. As compared to other colleges IMT is pretty decently priced especially for a female candidate because every female candidate gets a 25% discount. The other expenses are mostly for pleasure, like going out with friends, ordering food etc as we even get textbooks from the institute. College dead have scholarship opportunities on basis of merit
At IMT Ghaziabad, the total estimated costs of the two-year MBA program amounts to 21,50,000, which includes tuition fees, mess fees, hostel fees, transport fees, etc. Besides this, students incur monthly expenditures such as food, grocery, and transport. It is at par with fees of colleges in the similar league. All girls get a scholarship of 25%.
Fees is about 21.8 Lakhs and there is a scholarship for women students so I will be getting back 25% of the fee. So my cost will be around 17 - 18 lakhs.
The total fee of IMT Ghaziabad for a PGDM student comes close to 20.5 lakhs, there is no separate hostel and mess fees since it's included in the 20.5 lakhs. The first year, you are supposed to pay 12.3 Lakhs, and the rest in 2nd year. The fees is a bit higher as compared to baby and new IIMs, but when compared with private MBA institutes, the fees is considered normal. Other expense includes Groceries, Food, Dress/Every day essentials. No, IMT does not follow reservation, but IMT has scholarships where people from poor background receive a tuition fee deduction.

Before I talk about the worth of private B Schools like IMT/IMI/XIMB, let’s consider their average packages.
B School |
Average Package |
IMT |
INR 17.35 LPA |
IMI Delhi |
INR 17.01 LPA |
XIMB |
INR 20 LPA |
The average package of government colleges like IITs and DSE is slightly less around INR 10.57 LPA. So the point is if you are ready to invest a hefty amount in B Schools, you will not regret the decision as they are game changers. The level of exposure and diversity is almost higher than in Government colleges. IITs, DFS and DSE MBAs have a more theoretical approach than a practical one. However, the figures for private B schools are inflated so do consider the ups and downs.
The final decision is up to you. Try to find what exactly you want from MBA
Make a well-informed decision after proper research.
Everyone has a different definition of worth. In my opinion, IMT Ghaziabad is worth getting admission at under the following circumstances
In fact if right harnessed, IMT Ghaziabad has many excellent opportunities to offer. It’s a well-established institute and among the top B Schools in the country. Established as early as 1980, it has an elaborate alumni network. So if you are true to yourself and your career this B School will help you climb to the top gradually.
IMT Ghaziabad offers a variety of courses that cater to various specializations. These courses have been listed and explained in their order of preference
The courses have been arranged preference-wise so will make it easy for you to choose one.
IMT Ghaziabad is called the Mecca for Marketing. It’s well known for its specialization in Marketing, Sales, and Business Development based roles. I don't think it offers similar opportunities for finance as well. The placements are pretty good but getting internship offers is difficult for someone who is switching careers from IT to Finance.
So if you really want to pursue a career in Finance after your MBA from IMT Ghaziabad, you can try CFA, and FRM and have some past background in Finance
IMT Ghaziabad DCP program is one of the best and most coveted among its students. My brother is currently a first-year student of the same and has a lot to say about the course through his experience. He joined the program only after in-depth research. What attracted him the most was the location of the program, Dubai, which is the hub of globalization. Some major highlights of the course are
My brother's experience was amazing and he recommends it to anyone who wants to explore outside the box.
IMT Ghaziabad weekend PGPM program is most suitable for working professionals who cannot spare much time from their work life to pursue MBA. People who are unable to pursue a regular MBA due to personal reasons can only go for this program.
Eligibility: The eligibility criteria is a minimum of 3 years of work experience. Sometimes they might even ask for a sponsorship letter from your employer.
The program is a well-structured one and has been established for a long time now.
Fees: The fees for this program are INR 7.25 Lakhs.
Suitability: The program is a good choice if you want to upgrade your skills, broaden your learning experience, or switch careers. Homeowners if you are looking for a salary spike this program does not guarantee it as it provides placement assistance but not proper placement opportunities.
If you are really keen to join IMT Ghaziabad go for the DCP program only. It’s the only program worth spending your time and money on. It guarantees quality education, premium batch quality, faculty, and the overall environment. Also, IMT Ghaziabad is well known for its rich competition culture.
But there are many demerits that overshadow the merits of IMT Ghaziabad. For instance, the campus has an undisciplined environment owing to the influence of Delhi culture. The faculty is also deorbiting in the sense that they don’t care about the reputation of the institute anymore. The batch size is also a major disadvantage at IMT Ghaziabad. You shouldn’t expect a batch size lower than 500-600.
For those who take the DCP program, keep in mind that the internship opportunities will be difficult due to the difference in work culture. You will have to try hard to move forward.
Do your own part of research that is not just based on figures and then join the college.
My friends passed out from IMT Ghaziabad and said that your specialization does not really matter. What matters is the institute. She was in a dilemma about choosing IMT and TAPMI and later went for IMT Ghaziabad and is very proud of her decision. She thinks it has many advantages over TAPMI like
All these points clearly show that IMT Ghaziabad is better than TAPMI.
