IBS Hyderabad MBA Eligibility Criteria

Candidates who wish to seek admission for both MBA and Executive Program offered at IBS Hyderabad shall have passed the minimum eligibility criteria as mentioned below:

  • Shall have obtained at least 50% aggregate marks in Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized university with the medium of instruction as English.
  • Shall have work experience in managerial or supervisory positions for at least 2 years.
  • Shall have completed a minimum of 15 years of education (10+2+3) or (10+2+4) basis.
  • Shall be eligible to qualify for IBSAT or equivalent examinations such as MAT, CAT, XAT
  • Applicants in their final year bachelor’s degree course are also eligible to apply, provided they complete their graduation requirements before May 31.

IBS Hyderabad MBA Admission Guidelines

The selection criteria for Admissions to the MBA or Executive MBA Programs of the institution is strictly based on the merit-list obtained in IBSAT or equivalent exam scores followed by Group Discussion and Personal Interviews.

  • Applicants will be first shortlisted on the basis of their academic qualification, entrance exams such as IBSAT, MAT, CAT, XAT, and their work experience.
  • Candidates who have appeared for CAT/ XAT/ MAT are exempted to take the IBSAT examination conducted by the institute.
  • Candidates having NMAT, MAT, CAT, or XAT, CMAT scores will be directly invited for the interview.
  • After the institute has declared the merit list of the Shortlisted candidates, they will be notified by the Institute for Personal Interview, Selection briefing, and Group Discussion.
  • The final selection will be based on the candidate’s performance in PI or GD.

IBS Hyderabad MBA Program

The entire MBA Program of IBS is divided into a full-time regular 4 semesters of 6 months each.

  • The Program comprises 30 courses; 22 Compulsory Courses and 8 Elective Courses, Summer Internship Program, and Soft Skills Labs.
  • The students can pursue elective courses in Marketing, Finance, Human Resource Management, Operations, and Information Technology & Systems.
  • Students need to choose five electives in Semester III and three in Semester IV.
  • Semester I and II of the MBA program have compulsory courses while Semester onwards, students shall choose elective courses.

IBS Executive MBA Program

The entire Executive MBA Program of IBS is divided into part-time having 7 terms of 3 months each.

  • The Institution conducts on all Sundays and Second Saturdays between 9.00 am and 6.00 pm.
  • The program comprises 21 courses and two business research projects.
  • The term I - IV has compulsory courses while there are elective and business Research project from Term V onwards.
  • The students can pursue elective courses in Marketing, Finance, Human Resource Management, Operations, and Information Technology & Systems.
