IBS Placement Team

Every year best of the companies from various sectors visit the campus for hiring. Final placement and the package are the manifestation of the two years of hard work and joint effort put in by the students and the professors.

IBS has a dedicated Career Management Centre (CMC) that works throughout the year towards building and widening the network of association with various companies across India and abroad. Every year more than 500 companies visit the IBS campuses for campus drives. The entire placement process is a collaborative effort between IBS and Students. While IBS provides guidance and support through extensive networking with potential employers, the students have the responsibility of making the best possible effort to obtain suitable placements.

Enhancing student skills

In addition to academics, IBS organizes guest lectures, talks from industry stalwarts, and interactive sessions where students get great exposure. Following are the skill enhancement activities to help the students to face the recruitment process:

  • Soft-skill enhancement: Effective communication and interpersonal skills are crucial to compete successfully in the business environment. The real key to the effectiveness of professionals is their ability to put their domain knowledge into effective practice. IBS built soft skills as a course in the program itself and established Soft Skills labs to enhance the students’ communication skills which involve sharpening their verbal and writing competence in the digital era.
  • Personality development: This includes overall presentability along with the required confidence. IBS curriculum is designed to compel students to work on their skills constantly. The students are exposed to group discussions, practice sessions, and multiple mock interviews before facing the real interviews.
  • Career counselling: CMC is open for the students for interaction, and guiding them in choosing and deciding upon a career path.
  • Strong Industry Interface: IBS collaborating with several national and international firms/organizations to train its students in specialized areas like business analysis and research.
  • Corporate relevant certification courses are recommended by the Faculty Mentors

Summer Internship placement:

The students are put through the paces of corporate life from “Day One” on campus. In order to enhance their learning there are multiple industry interfaces available. The most important of these is the Summer Internship Program which is approximately 14 weeks in duration.

The summer internship is a mandatory part of the 2- year full- time MBA/PGPM course curriculum at IBS. Students get placed in various companies across industries and are associated with professional teams under the mentorship of professors and team leads. The students get an opportunity to learn from real-life experience and ongoing learning by being in a professional team. This also provides an orientation to the corporate world for the students when they still have time to improve and polish their skills and competencies. The students are required to prepare a synopsis of the internship program under the guidance of the project mentor and professors from the campus.
